Consequently, past couple days, Management and Cooking Vinyl have been flooded with enquiries, so much that CV had to put out a press release. CV have a new press agent, and I hadn't been on the mail-out list... am now... I've found out which tracks Chris & Jonny Coldplay are on... but won't be letting that info out for a bit... here's the text of the press release: IAN McCULLOCH Solo album due for release in March 2003 Award winning Echo & The Bunnymen front man Ian McCulloch has just finished recording his first solo album for Cooking Vinyl. Recorded at the Doghouse Studios in Henley-On-Thames, the album was co-produced by Cenzo Townsend (who worked on Echo & The Bunnymen's top ten album 'Evergreen' in 1997). The as yet untitled album is due to be released in March 2003 and features 3 special guest musicians - Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland (from Coldplay) and actor John Simm ('24 Hour Party People', 'Human Traffic' and 'The Lakes'). More details to follow ... Echo & The Bunnymen were awarded the 'Inspiration Award' at this year's Q Awards. The award, which was presented by Beth Orton, is given to artists with a long and established musical career, whose music has inspired other artists to start their own bands and create their own music. www.cookingvinyl.com / www.bunnymen.com / www.ianmcculloch.com - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
