Hellooooooooooooooooo... Not a bad idea at all, Markus! Here's the list of my recent acquisitions... it may seem like a lot, but I won a $75 gift certificate to mymusic from DotClick (See? What did I tell you people? Anne, who has never won anything in her life won by listening to & rating music on DotClick!) So yeah, the list is kinda long... :) God Bless the Blake Babies; Blake Babies Tomb Raider Soundtrack Amnesiac; Radiohead Maroon; Barenaked Ladies Return Of Saturn; No Doubt Fat Of The Land; The Prodigy What Women Want Soundtrack Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack Never Been Kissed Soundtrack Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Soundtrack Tin Cup Soundtrack Pet Sounds; The Beach Boys Planet Bad (Greatest Hits); Big Audio Dynamite Under the Pink; Tori Amos Central Reservation; Beth Orton Nine Objects of Desire; Suzanne Vega Whitechocolatespaceegg; Liz Phair Weezer 2001(Green Album); Weezer Backordered: The Gravel Pit; Mass Avenue Freeze-Out Oh yeah, and I pre-ordered: Comfort Eagle; Cake So yeah. That's me... eclectic as ever. Although there is a healthy dose of chicks who rock. :) 'Course, I'll be adding Cellar Door Seranades to that in August, I hope! :) And Anne's song of the summer? Has got to be Island In The Sun by Weezer (Hey Hey.) which I am listening to right now. And you'd know that if you were a member of DotClick... *grin* I hope all is well with all of you! - -Anne _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 22:49:31 -0700 (PDT) From: Carrie Shanafelt Subject: music and whatnot Hey all.... I envy the musical savvy of Anne and Marcus. CDs bought recently by Carrie - Rufus Wainwright - Poses Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark Yes, that's its. A little old, a little new. I am currently so enamored of both of these that I haven't lusted after anything else (although I do feel morally bound to pick up Amnesiac). And I cry myself to sleep nightly now that the Wotapalava Tour that WOULD have brought the gorgeous vulnerable genius of Rufus to Cleveland cancelled its last three dates due to fickle Sinead (who wasn't even on our leg). Now that she's marrying a man, must she poo-poo Cleveland's "Day Out"? July 23rd will see a few thousand nancyboys and yours truly drowning our tears in Cosmopolitans, wailing along with "Greek Song" in our living rooms. Sigh. Rest of time largely spent reading Kundera and Pynchon and Barthelme, serving pseudo-shi-shi beverages at Borders, listening to Jeff Buckley and Prince, running around the city in the dead of night crashing band rehearsals, hosting bizarre parties that last for days and days... Grad school, come quickly! Save me from AA! Best to all... Summer going well? Anyone else losing sanity? - -carrie ps - maybe i'm the last to know, but that joni album is incredible. that woman totally understands. _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V4 #19 ********************************
