Hello all... First off, can I just say... Damn Smarch weather. :) Markus -- It was great to hear that you made it through the quake virtually unscathed*! I was thinking of ya. E! -- It's good to hear from the Files! Thanks for that first shot over the bow. And actually Erik, to expound on Courtney's well-informed answer... Not only did Robbie Fulks open for BFF -- he opened for them at ConBENtion in Chicago. That was my first introduction to him. Then my Fulks cravings were stoked even more when I visited Markus in Seattle. I own two of his albums... "Souht Mouth" and "Let's Kill Saturday Night" -- I highly recommend both of them. :) And Hey-Hey-Hey Courtnay! How goes things?? :) As what is currently in my CD player... well, I'm as eclectic as ever. I've been listening to a lot of mixes at work (The Angry Mix, The Upbeat Mix, The Low-Key Mix, The Jazz Mix, The 80's Mix; The Party Mix... *grin*) but in my car the following CDs have been getting a lot of play: Shelby Lynne; I Am Shelby Lynne U2; All That You Can't Leave Behind Radiohead; Kid A Dido; No Angel Soundtrack; Almost Famous Soundtrack; Outside Providence Mix; The Ken Burns Jazz Series Mix; The Starbucks North South East West WOMAD USA 2000 Aimee Mann; Bachelor #2 Beastie Boys; Sounds of Science Bruce Springsteen; 18 Tracks Gomez; Liquid Skin I know, I know... not a lot of new stuff (except in the mixes)... and I'm happy to share the track listings on my mixes if anyone wants them. I also have a friend who DJs on the side and she's been burning some kicking CDs as well. They're rocking my world. Actually, one of the reasons why I don't have a lot of new music is that instead of buying CDs, I've been buying DVDs. In the fall I got a widescreen TV, DVD and surround sound. (Tweeter loves me.) So I've been getting into the whole DVD collection-thang. So far I've got: Good Will Hunting Shakespeare in Love Casablanca Gone With the Wind The Wizard of Oz Saving Private Ryan Slapshot Caddyshack A Nightmare Before Christmas American Beauty Being John Malkovich The Perfect Storm Fantasia Chicken Run The Sopranos (Season I) Chasing Amy But I'm always on the lookout for good new music! I'll gladly take recommendations!!! Hope all is well with all of you! Take care, - -Anne "Now I'm a policeman directing traffic Keeping everything moving, everything static" * Hmmm. Now, how come no one ever says that they made it through something, but were severely scathed... just a thought. :) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V4 #5 *******************************
