You know it's bad when I'M the only one posting!!! Anyway, in case you hadn't heard, Rubber Sled will be joining Tom Maxwell and the Minor Drag (former and current members of Squirrel Nut Zippers) for the East Coast leg of their tour. Benfoldsfive.com lists all the dates/locations. Oh, and in case you were curious, Sinforosa's still getting some radio play here in Seattle & Deadly Faerie Tales peaked in the top 20 on MP3.com's adult alternative charts recently:-)! Not BFF related, but still relevant to past discussions... The new Jeff Buckley live CD (Mystery White Boy) was just released last night. If you're unfamiliar w/his music, first buy Grace, then buy the new live one. If you ARE familiar w/him, then you're already a fan & this should prove a worthy addition to your collection. The same? What? So I was reading my new CMJ NMM (not NMR, for all you crazy music elitists, like me) and they had a review of the new Hanson CD. As you may or may not know in the reviews they incude a section called RIYL (recommended if you like) and who was named? You guessed it, our boys, BFF. So BFF is officially an influence of Hanson...is that a good thing? Who knows. But now I will have to buy the new Hanson album, or at least copy it from one of my sister's friends. I decided to listen to Messner last night as I drove to the pub and was delighted. I think I will take out my Hanson and AC/DC cds and replace them with S/T and WAEA. I am feeling nostalgic. Since summer is here, I want to voice my displeasure that once again I hear nothing of the return of HORDE festival. Although, there are some fine collections of music at some of these city festivals. Since Markus posted, I will add someting relevant. I ran across a site that had music from Bumbershoot. They had a great mp3. of Built to Spill, but for the life of me, I can't remember the URL. Okay, I went and found it: http://realguide.real.com/music/?s=bumdowns Take care.
