I spent it at a friend's house in Los Feliz and we had a great time. A bunch of really cool people and a lot of alcohol combined with "i can out-canadian you!" and some umm... girls i swear i don't know who werent me OR my friend Anna... running down the block in our.. um, i mean *their* underwear at midnight. as far as movies go, i've really been slacking off lately. I saw Man on the Moon too and thought it was just overly episodic and really lacking in a firm storyline. it was like "hi. let's watch andy be funny. in parts. whee. isn't this fun?" I also saw The Talented Mr. Hot Piece Of Ass... er, um.. i mean the Talented Mr. Ripley. It was an absolutely gorgeous movie, but it really lost momentum after mr. hot piece of ass got phwacked with an oar and tossed into the mediterranean. though i'd certainly commmit murder to get my hands on gwyneth's wardrobe. sigh. I really do need to get out and see Magnolia. it's been open here for ages, and i can't believe i've been sitting on my ass for so long. Though i did see an advance screening of The Hurricane a couple months ago and it nrealy bored me to death. Denzel Washington was really great, but then the whole "we're canadians who're going to save him!" thing was kind of cheesy. regardless of the fact that it's based on a true story. is anyone here going to SXSW in Austin in March? could there be a special performance by Sinforosa in the works? all i know is i'm doing my damndest to get out of credit card debt by march 10th so i can hit austin and do some serious detriment to my credit rating all over again. whoo! plus they're premiering "High Fidelity" at the film festival. so i'm planning on hoisting John Cusack over my shoulder and bringing him back to my house of ill repute. hell yes i am. thanks to Ginger, i hear that there's a sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary coming out in the US in March. that brat already has a copy.
