Me, I was asleep by 10:30. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Jan 2000 10:55:57 PST From: "Elisabeth Donnelly" Subject: Movies, because break has been boring Hey, my new years myself was not good, but I like to tell the world that I was engaged in 48 straight hours of transcendental meditation and fasting. (In reality, I was a little sick and watched the Negotiator) And Ive actually been sick most of vacation, or watching shitloads of movies like I need to catch up... Have to completely agree with Mr. Boyer on Man on the Moon. An okay film, but I left the theatre feeling unsatisfied. First, I felt like it was really superficial and I wish the movie would fuck with the audience a lot more. But I was happy to see Jim Carrey perform- I really like him as an actor, and hearing The Great Beyond in a theatre was also a treat. Speaking of good m00usic in films, I wish that Pi would be like the late night rave film for art houses, but what do I know? Today I am going to see the Cider House Rules. Because I like me some Tobey Maguire. Is it because he appears to be 12? Could be kind of cute pudgy? Or his great boyish voice? I saw the previews for Magnolia and The Hurricane- Magnolia made me cry, whilst the Hurricane came pretty adrn close. And Im stoic! So Im working, and doing all sorts of heavy lifting...heavy computer mointors that are about a third of my weight! Ooh, and the highlight of the day so far was by far eating lunch at Uno's with my ad. The music was absolutely horrible, and it was pretty quiet so it was all you can hear, and stuff like "send in the clowns" was playing. Then, thank goodness, "Barrel of a gun" by Guster came on, and this happy cute boy waiter pops up, and I myself am smiling away. He was cute.;) Yay Guster! ~Elisabeth "4, 3, 2, 1..." ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V2 #329 *********************************
