I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Rufus Wainwright (or as someone on the list calls him, Rufus f'ing Wainwright) on the TODAY show one morning months ago. It was quite the pleasurable experience. So then I went to a video website and downloaded a video and that was fun as well. But somehow I was sidetracked and never bought a CD. Welp, that all ended last night. Can I now be a Rufus fan?? Please...? cause he is like cool and shit. all butchering of the English language aside, I want to thank those on the list who have constantly plugged the Rufus as well as...... Jeff Buckley. I remember his unexpected and untimely death, but I have not knowingly heard a song of his until I bought his Grace CD as I shopped for Rufus. I will be shopping for other offerings from him now. Just brilliant. RAH! tonight is the soundbreak christmas party. they're having it at this super trendy bar on Sunset Blvd. called Miyagi's. open bar and all the free sushi one can devour. i really like working somewhere cool. Jude's playing tomorrow night at the Roxy. haven't seen him in ages. not since august, i think. and i was reading in the paper today that Travis are coming in january. yippee! on a more unfortunate note, the L.A. production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch is closing on sunday, 3 months ahead of schedule. it's a goddamn shame too, since it's such a brilliant play. that's one thing i don't like about L.A.; how the theatre scene is barely suported at all. boo to that. i should go get ready for the party. ~Courtney The Sultraness of Swing "No, it's more of a pop.
