I bought the new CD last night and listened to it all. All I can say is now I have concrete proof that Beck is the soul of Otis Redding, driven insane by being reborn inside a skinny white boy. Think about it, it works. ;) Anyway, the CD kicks much ass, very funky and electronic, not as mellow and acoustic as Mutations was. On the EP scale of 1 to 5, it gets a 5. On another note, I'm so happy. Tonight there's going to be a rave in Ann Arbor. Finally, a rave within stumbling distance of home! I'm kinda upset 'cause one of my favorite DJs cancelled 'cause she was sick, but that's okay. I'm going to have fun no matter what. I'm going to have fun if I have to kill to do it, which is kinda besides the point 'cause once you get to the killing, you're having fun anyway. ;) Well, I'll keep you guys posted about my deep cover operation into the social structures of ravers. It's really fascinating, if you're into the whole neo-tribalism thing. ;) Anyway, that's my piece. Laters!
