The concert John went to was the CD101-derfest. I wanted to be there. I would have gone, heck, just because it was CD101, the best commercial station in the Nation. My previous committment was to go to the Marine Corp's Ball. It was so cool! My friend Scott wore the Marine Blue's you see in the commercials. It was fun. (and I must have looked nice since a few guys actually did a double-take when they saw me). John, I might be email-ing your arss, begging you to take me to some shows. Most people are not like us here at the RF, so it's incredibly difficult to find people to go with me to shows. John, do you like our local scene? In particular, Watershed and Howlin Maggie (if they would ever play)? I shall leave you with a parting recommendation. Do you like Classical music? Would you like to hear the most beautiful classical music composed in the 90's? Go out and buy the Rachel's - Music for Egon Schiele, you will not be sorry. It will probably be hard to find, but I'm pretty sure CDNow has it. The Rachel's have 4 albums, but IMHO this is the best of the 4. This album is pretty stripped down, just a quartet. A piano, cello, violin and viola quartet. It is the most beautiful music I have ever heard made. Rachel's is composed of string players from a wealth of late 80's/early 90's experimental bands, that decided to get together and compose classical music. If you ever get the chance to see Rachel's live, god bless you. I haven't had the opportunity, though my friend Seth at Boston University saw them in Cambridge and called it the most religious experience of his life. Ciao.
