First off, Dogma. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! Jay and Silent Bob as prophets. That's all I have to say. And Alanis isn't God, she's Eris dressing up as God. Trust me. ;) Secondly, Elizabeth, give that kid a break. I mean, at the very least, you can sit down and meet someone new. And at the worst, he's paying. ;) Thirdly, Michigan was not even at that game, they were all secretly replaced by mutant frogs during the second half. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Fourthly, I went out and picked up the new Counting Crows CD yesterday. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I could curl up into a fetal ball and listen to Adam Duritz make music for the rest of my life. Anyway, that's all I have to say about that. Laters all! I really enjoyed seeing the bands in a crowd of about 200 people. Can you say BFF circa 1995? Gus-tahr, (do I have the Boston accent correct?) was full of life. And yes, I think one of the fragles is all grown up and playing lead. The drummer boy did look like he had mummified his hands. And if I was a 21 year-old-boy, I would have been in heaven (what with all the youngins running about). J, L C was great. Talked to the guy who reminded me of Mango? from SNL. Appearantly his sex-appeal is at an all time high. Got a great picture with him also. He looks like one of those young hip poetry dudes who useds words like cat. and cool. well, I am rambling. He was nice. LIVE was in town down the street (playing at a venue BFF was at 18 months ago) and maybe they took away some of the kids. Which is good. A little history about the venue we were at: The Police OPENED up for a local band in the early 70's. funny how things work. I also saw Bad English there when I was 21. Yes, the John Waite band. Sold out. Crazy times, I tell you. Enough about the 80's and wearing my sunglasses at night. Michigan was in the building. They just couldn't move around with ease because their cocks were too hard. Tough thing, that modesty aspect of being a powerhouse.... (when november 24 rolls around. ;) "dogma" is playing for freeeeeeeeeeeee (good for girls gone bankrupt. like me.) next week at uga. god bless our university union. and in a month, gorbachev is coming to speak. as in, GORBACHEV. the ex-russian dictator. also, i went to see "waiting for guffman" at our student center this week. "i hate you...and i hate your ASS FACE!" another band that i think a lot of people on this list would like/maybe *do* like...is self. they are from murfreesboro, tn. they had a baby hit with "so low" back in like, 1994. check out www.spongebathrec.com or www.dreamworksrec.com for more info if they interest you. :) peach out. sara p.s. if anyone wants a tape of j,lc unreleased songs (and lordy, there are *many*), drop me an email with your mailing address on it and tell me if you can send a blank. ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V2 #289 *********************************
