Hi all!!! :) Eric! You got sneak preview tix to Dogma???? You SUCK! sucksuckSUCK, I tell you. (Your VA post made me de-lurk!) I've been salivating every time I see the Dogma trailer... At least I only have another week or so to wait.... :) Me. BusybusybusyB. That's me! At least I finally bought a good pair of headphones so as I am cranking at work, at least I get to listen to some good music... :) Right now I am digging Jump, Little Children (Magazine) (finally went and got the album -- I know, I know... I shoulda coulda woulda gotten it a long time ago... but just never did. The other stuff I'm listening to at work... Well, lemme tell ya. The Sheila Divine ROCKS RAWKS ROKKZ. It rocks. Really. I groove out to New Parade most days... Lemme thing, what else do I listen to? Radiohead gets lots of play, as does Folk Implosion, Gomez, Robbie Fulks, Soundtracks from Romeo & Juliet, Clueless, and Go. BeFeF getws some heavy rotation on some days. Springsteen gets a nod every once in a while (usually on Fridays). The Clash has been seen around my desk... along with my Estrogen Crew: Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, The Pretenders, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, The Dixie Chicks, Garbage, The Cranberries, etc. My life is uninteresting other than workworkwork. I leave my house when it is dark, and I get home WAAAAY past dark. Social life is really not all that exciting... and that is about it! I leave you to your discussions... :) - -Anne ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Nov 1999 09:07:02 -0600 From: tarcher@hodge-dwyer.com Subject: I'm jealous and those two other bands on tour right now Hey Eric, I love Kevin Smith movies, and Alanis as God, what more could you ask for?? You got to let us know how it was. Btw, I forgot to rub it in, how about that amazing Illini win over Michigan! Oskee Wow Wow baby. Hey, but what I really wanted to share was that our FL, his lovely wife and I went to see Jump and Guster last night in good ole St. Louie. Awesome show and cute young boys in both bands w/ neat instruments!! I think I am in lust w/ Adam from Guster and I had a really nice conversation w/ John, the upright bass player from Jump. Well it is now our mission to get Jump to open for BFF. I told John I would work on it, hee, hee. That's all. Hope everyone is well. Peace, T ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 04 Nov 1999 10:43:11 PST From: "Elisabeth Donnelly" Subject: quick shots Hey Anne, I think that if you go on fnxradio.com you can win some tickets to a Dogma screening. I may have to check out if BU's sponsoring a sneak preview. If so, want me to try to pick up a ticket? =) The Shelia Divine do rawk. I miss hearing hum on the radio, once the sound works on the computer I plan to download download download. I saw Guster and JLC on Saturday. JLC played a half hour set because of extra time alloted to the frickin mediorcre push stars. I was pissed. It was an interesting night. Guster-a drummer, a lost boy band boy, and a fraggle. Sorry, Ive been snarky. They were wonderful, though. Im not very famiar with the band, but I felt like I was lost at a Dave Matthews show-similar fervrent fanbases; lack of indie rock people. Lots of young girls in tank tops. And damm, can Jump get the chickies screaming or what!? Beck is on the cover of the new spin. Almost enough to make me buy it. Curious Liquids, lovely coffee shop across the street from the state house, now offers smores on a pupu platter. Dude! Hey, if a good looking service dude of the opposite sex gives you free tea and chocolate, is that impetus enough to ask the boy out? Do discounts equal love? Courtney, courtney, let down your hair! So we can all hear about Cochella! (Your pathethic lazy college friend) Im all for self promotion, so surf on over to www.bu.edu/wtbu tomorrow, 11am to 1pm...check out the web cam, Im the taller girl. Yeah. And my hairs normally pretty. I have so many adventures to share, but I think I have to go to class now, complete with pie for the "piefucker" filming tonight. I love my life.
