Anyway, they were amazing. I loved every song. >> that is matt's lovely new mandocaster...an electric mandolin. strangely enough, that bastard won't ever practice his REAL mandolin, leaving the audience missing what i consider the best j,lc songs out. but isn't the accordian great??? his old mandocaster was sparkly blue...i have to say i liked that one better...and jay used to have an orange and red and yellow glittery les paul limited edition guitar that he gave up for that *shudder* ghastly black one. :) resident j,lc freak, sarax j. miller ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 Oct 1999 15:45:00 EDT From: Vwbugn5890@aol.com Subject: long- my concert reviews i've been meaning to post, but school has been kicking my ass barbi's post inspired me... i saw jump, little children and guster last weekend in chicago. it was such an amazing show. jump of course were wonderful. it was kinda sad that only about five of us were cheering for them down by the stage. we got there about an hour before the show so we made friends with all the early arrivers, which were about eight people. they were all there to see guster, they hadn't even heard of j,lc. there was no barricade in front of the stage so we were able to stand right up against the stage. i got lots of good pics. one of my new friends grabbed a setlist for me since they didn't want it and i got it signed by matt, jay, and ward while they were on stage (clearing off their own equipment, they need some roadies :) and we caught evan while he was leaving (he asked catharine about bff cause she was wearing a bff shirt) and we got jonathan to sign it while he was leaving a little later. they were all so nice jonathan even introduced himself to us and shook our hands. ok...on to bentent... i went to the columbia, MO show last wednesday. it was definitely the best bff show i have been to. they played tom and mary, emaline, and satan is my master. i wanted them to play last polka, but they seem to have retired that song. the crowd was not very into the music though. i was third row center and the only person standing up in the first five rows atleast. i'm surprised no one threw anything at me. but, i got a lot of good pics from that show and i got to meet fleming & john, who were also really nice. i managed to get a setlist, but i couldn't wait afterwards to get it signed b/c it was a 3 hour drive home and i only got 4 hours of sleep before school that day as it was. there were two girls in the front row who only knew the words to TUBORM songs and brick. they kept dancing in sync and jumping up and down, i wanted to kill them. but other than that, it was a very good show and definitely worth the drive. shan "And what you wish for won't come true.
