Re: The Rockford Files V2 #254 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 13 Sep 1999 00:50:58 -0700 From: Stacy Lynn Subject: BACK ON THE AIR!!!! I have *GREAT* news, everyone! Now, I won't remind you *every* week, but every now and again I will... so MARK YOUR WEEKLY PLANNERS! I've got my radio show back on the air, and I am THRILLED to death! Its on a slightly different time than last year, but hopefully it will make it a little easier for you all to listen to me! As of right now, I have not one, not two, but *three* shows a week, but that is subject to change. Here are the times I have: Monday (starting tommorow) 8am-9am PACIFIC I will be filling in for my roomate on a limited-time-only engagement, and I will possibly be filling in for someone Monday 1pm-2pm, but that is subject to change. I will also be filling in on fridays from 1pm-3pm until a replacement is found. But as for my *very own* show... EVERYWEEK! Monday 8pm-10pm pacific TO LISTEN: do you have RealAudio? If not, go to http://www.real.com and download it and set it up, it is free. Then point your web browser to http://kamp.arizona.edu and click on the link that says "here." Turn on your speakers, and voila! You are listening to my show! What is my show? Well, its full of only the best music you'll hear! Most of the show is dedicated to powerpop, and most of the show is dedicated to stuff you won't normally hear on your regular radio station, but I will play otherstuff if it generally fits into the format, or if it is extremly high-quality. Last year, some new artists/groups I played were Jason Falkner, Owsley, Fountains of Wayne, Jude, Ben Lee, Jimmy Eat World, and lots more. I take requests, and I'll post a couple playlists once my show gets underway so you can see what stuff I play. To request: email me well ahead of time @ stacyf@u.arizona.edu or send me an icq message well ahead of time 7641939 is my number. Or you can call into the station 520.621.5806 or you can email the station (and I forget the address, but I'll say it on-air when I figure it out! =-) when: monday 8am-9am pacific, maybe 1pm-2pm pacific, and definately 10pm-12am pacific where: http://kamp.arizona.ed contact: stacyf@u.arizona.edu / 520.621.5806 / what: the best music you have ever heard on the radio!! =-) (apologies for the slightly off-topic nature of this email, and the cross posting, but I won't be making this announcement often, and I figure if you are on these mailing lists, you dig good music, the kind I play on my show...) btw, feel free to tell all your friends. =-) stacy What was best of all was the longing look you gave me... that longing look... More than enough to keep me fed all year. -XTC "Harvest Festival" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Stacy Flatt stacyf@u.arizona.edu Assistant Director Eat to the Beat Concerts University of Arizona 520.621.1111 (office 10am-1pm mon, wed, fri pacific time) http://www.u.arizona.edu/~stacyf ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Sep 1999 08:44:31 -0400 From: shirak@umich.edu Subject: Re: The Rockford Files V2 #254 Ergh! Must.... resist.... urge.... to....spend.....money! Seriously, depending on how my next couple of paychecks look, I might be at the Columbus show. Besides, I have a whole crew of friends in the Columbus area that I need to see, including another Discodian kabal. So keep your eyes out. I'll let people know if I can come. If you don't hear from me beforehand, just look for the black kid with a name-tag that says "Officer Friendly's Little Boy" and ask him, "Where's the Mohawk?" If he doesn't respond, "I lost it in the war." kill him. It's another one of my damned clones on the loose again. I knew I shouldn't have listened to that mad scientist... Anyway, laters all!
