Fall has fallen and once again Carrie's life delves into mysterious and treacherous lands of labyrinthine drama. I'm in a playwriting class, and I keep wanting to announce that I can't possibly write anything that would be more fascinating than the ecstatic paranoia that is my everyday life. Whenever a situation tries to wane in immediate importance, some new development sends it reeling back into the foreground. When they say these are the best years of our lives, I think what they really mean is this is the only time that we can do things and explore all their rammifications and yet somehow escape the consequences that might really feck us up. Hooray for university life! Third year and still not dead. Hooray for Marcus, who gets to go to a Ben Folds Five show! Hooray for Ben Folds, who claims that Lawrence, KS and London are his favorite cities to play! Hooray for 4:01am, when I'm sitting up in my "cool in school" T-shirt trying to decide how perfect it would be to get cast as Sally in Cabaret... Auditions Monday! Hooray for Kurt Weill's "Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny"! What a fabulous work of art. Again, I'll throw out another plug for Jann Klose's "The Strangest Thing". I'll have you all know my mother is purchasing 12 copies to give as Christmas presents. (And rated the title track their #4 song.) Amazon has it for $11. Or you can cut me a check and I'll send it to you personally. Hooray for brilliant music! May Ben and Darren and Robert feel a sudden urge to do a show in the Ohio region... **om** Greetings to all, and to all a good night. It says so in our song. ;) Anyway, life's pretty damned good for the kid right now. New apartment, old job, new payraise, and the only thing that's missing is the set of triplets who want me. Ah well, maybe when I get to be Hugh Heffner's age, I can pull that one off. Anyway, I'm just getting by, wishing I could be at one of the shows on the US leg of this tour. Maybe I can hitchhike to Japan.... Nah, did that last weekend. Anyway, I'm outta herre. Laters!
