They'll never go all the way!!!!!! ;) Anyway, I haven't posted in a while, just because I've been daydreaming about a single Anne... oh, wait, was that my out loud voice. Damn, I get in more trouble that way. Anyway, about the only interesting things going on in my life are that I'm throwing a party tonight, and my love life is more confused than ever. Springtime is a bad time to be Desire's Plaything. ;) Anyway, I just wanted to pump out some love, at our FL's request, and remind you all that I'm still here. Remember, can't sleep, clowns will eat me. Can't sleep, clowns will eat me. Can't sleep, clowns will eat me... whoa, that's hypnotic. ;) Laters all! Hail Eris! Im sooo bummed. Im a Felicity fan, so I decided to join the comtemptous sardonic list, because I like their attitude, but oh my, the sheer amount of mail!!! So I have to admit two things: 1) I really secretly dig the hell out of that Blink 182 song. In the video, they run around naked! I enjoy the lyric, "I said I was the cops/and your husband's in jail/the state looks down on sodomy!" 2) I have spent the past few days in a small room with padded walls, trying to write the best salutatorian speech ever, because I am a wicked competitive girl. So I wrote it, and its fine, and I quoted The Living End, Henry Miller, Patrick Overton, Rushmore, and "Praise You" I think that's pretty exciting. Plus, its catholic school, and I quoted Henry Miller!!! Yay!!! Must go back to the rampant family bonding! ~Elisabeth "Ben Braddock" Donnelly _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Ah, the posting reappears...we get Anne, Anoop, Erik, Stacy, Katy, AND Matty in one digest. 'Tis a good day. First order of business: DC. I'm going, and bringing friends. I hope lots of people show up, because I was going to get a hotel room for Saturday and Sunday nights and just make a party of it. It also happens to be my birthday, so if anyone wants to come celebrate, you're invited! Next: Worcester & Providence. I'm there too. Do I get to meet Anne? I hope! There will also be a ton of other cool people there, so we have to work out some get-together for those as well. I probably won't be getting up to Worcester until the start of the show, because I have to work that day. But I will be in town early for the Lupo's show in Providence, so let's do lunch! Then: New York City! Rock! Our boys playing Central Park--how cool is that? I was in town on Sunday to see Sleater-Kinney, and my buddy Dan and I saw the Ben Folds Five billboard! It's really cool, it's the whole side of a building, and has Darren, Ben, and Robert close-up with denim jackets. Robert is holding a sign that says "Home is where you left your keys." I took some pictures, so when I get them developed and scanned I'll let everybody know. If you're in the area, it's on 8th Ave by the Port Authority at 47th. Finally, the mention of Robert and Darren "not getting into it" at the recent shows...I think I can explain it. I bet they were both just really really stoned. In fact, I think Robert is on the cover of the July issue of High Times. They are having fun though...I have heard them say it themselves. "This is the best we have ever played together," Mr. Sledge said. That's all I need to hear! Tonight: Fountains of Wayne w/ Gigolo Aunts. Tomorrow and Sunday: Owsley. Let me say again, if you have not yet heard Owsley, what's keeping you? http://www.owsleymusic.com http://www.giantrecords.com/owsley Go to it! - - Leigh 13 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 17:05:53 EDT From: Vwbugn5890@aol.com Subject: st. louis i realize this post is a bit delayed, but anyway...i went to the st. louis show on tuesday. it was so amazing. i think celine described jude best when she said, he is so beautiful! i agree. not only is he extremely good looking, but he has the most beautiful voice. i missed seeing him the last time he came to st. louis so i was very glad he opened. i got to meet him afterwards he was just standing outside talking to this girl so i went up to him and he signed a pic for me and i got a pic taken with him. then bff came on and just amazed me even more. narcolepsy was probably the best song they did all night. magic was very beatiful and even made me cry :) i thought they would drag out SFTD a little more, but it was still good nontheless. of course we all had to cheer when they sang "and you think rockford files is cool" :) when we were standing in line beforehand we heard them practicing so we went to the side door to listen and then i discovered that the door was not locked so i opened it and me and catharine and celine just sort of watched them for awhile. until some guy came in and started yelling very very loudly and a security guard chased us out. atleast we got to hear eddie walker (which they did not play during the show) and i got a pic. when the show was over we all waited by the tour bus and i got ben, darren, and rob to sign my shirt and i got a pic with all of them. this being the first time i've gotten to meet them, it was very exciting. so in all, it was a great show and a great night in general. i'm waiting for pics to be developed, hopefully they turned out ok. well, two days of school left. i'm taking summer classes at Wash U (drawing and psychology) after i get out of school. i actually move over to the dorms on sunday. i'm so excited. this should defnintely help my chances of being accepted there next year. plus i'll get to be near the loop which is one of my favorite places in st. louis. well, i hope you all are having a good summer. i have to marshall at graduation tonight so i have to go get ready. shan "There I said it, I'm in love" ~ Ben Lee ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V2 #171 *********************************
