I've just come off the busiest week of my semester, but thankfully it's over. I was an actor in a couple of Brecht's WWII works and I just (like 15 min ago) got back from the University Register (campus newspaper) retreat. Much alcohol was consumed, but all is good. I just wanted you all to check out http://www.mrs.umn.edu/~wellead/auction/tomkluis.html where I'm a bachelor in an online auction supporting the American Cancer Society and MN AIDS project. My pic is there too, but I look a bit funny. Oh well. Saw EPISODE ONE! It was pretty good, except that rastaman Jar Jar. I wish he'd (it'd?) just go away. Finally, I'd like to tell you all about how much I love the singer/songwriter Stuart Davis (http://www.stuartdavis.com). This guy is so awesome with his lyrics. Hannah- you can pick up some of his CDs down at Cheapo in Dinkytown! that is all, thanks! Tom ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 May 1999 12:58:27 PDT From: "Elisabeth Donnelly" Subject: Im so insanely bored Hey all, So its the first weekend out of high school for me, and my friends are awol and books hold no interest. Shit, what am I going to do for the rest of my life? I was reading the new Rolling Stone (mike myers issue) and I was pondering the fact that it was definetly the best issue since the rem one. (yes, circa new inventions in hi fi) Why is it so good? because 1) it wrote about the columbine incident with class-the relentless coverage of the boston globe, for example, definetly sensationalized the tragedy, and it so led to copycat incidents!! Im so glad to be away from high school. 2) A Ricky Martin interview, and a glorious Sheffield report. I love Rob Sheffield, and I want his job. I enjoy the way he writes about music. I can always tell when he is writing a review (which may be a sign of formulaicy, but its fun!) "The story of a senorita who teaches Ricky his true destiny as lap dancer to the entire rth american continent" "His name is Ricky, he is a showgirl, and music and passion are always in fashion" Plus, the Rufus article. Know why it was good? I felt like I was at a Rufus show, listening to him quipping. Anyone else think that he may quite possibly break next year? And if he does, I need to be a trend person, because my accuracy is sick. And "In My Arms" live is...beyond sexy. I also really like the unreleased greek boy song. A lot. I secretly really enjoy Smashmouth and Sheryl Crow. (But ms. crow has/is dating owen wilson, so there you go) I want to see the Blair Witch Project, and I am still taking quotes for my speech. Please, help, otherwise, I may just play Praise You by fatboy slim and dance like spike jonze. Im threating people with this prospect.=) What do you people do when all you want to do is to go dancing, but none of your friends are available and you cant drive? I need to meet new people!!! No more Catholic schoolgirl uniorm for me! (but im not burning it in effigy, if you get the point.;) ) ~Elisabeth "Thats a fully baked idea!" _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
