The fact that I am _so_ anticipating (since I was, like, 10) the Return of Star Wars and there will be 54 billion other people waiting as well. So, when I ACTUALLY get to see Phantom Menance is uncertain. But I will. What I really wanted to talk about was something that happened to me on Friday night. I was at my buddy's house to pick him up and enjoy some scooby snacks before the evening's festivities and as I returned from using his bathroom I saw something very familiar sitting net to the TV. Oh, that would be TUBORM. (by the by, he is a DJ in town) I was like, "Hey......um, you brought this home for me??" He did and and man, did I feel cool getting to listen to the stuff. So that was neat and I have been listening carefully ever since. 75% of the songs sound so familiar, but then again, they don't. It is like you want to describe them, but can't seem to put your finger on it. However, I do hear reminders of some music from the 80's. But I won't get into reviewing it, because I am not qualified. But I do like it. I find some songs humerous, and most others quite intoxicating. After listening all the way through, I go through the tracks like this: 2,3,4--9,10,11. I like Army, but I hear it 2ce on FNX daily. So, thumbs up. If we get into the whole, _whatz your fav album_, mine is still the S/T. But I really like the direction this CD went. Sounds like they got to do what they wanted to do. Which, well, makes me happy. Hey, CUBS took 2/3 from you mets. HA. - -e ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Apr 1999 10:18:52 From: "Hannah Kuhlmann" Subject: 5/9 120 Minutes This has no doubt already been posted, BUT. . . the band will be on 120 Minutes in 2 weeks, Pinfield said so last night. The Army video is cool, but it's odd to see yourself represented by a cardboard cutout. . .hey, did any of you Brittney Spears fans(?) notice the similarity at the beginning? the head bopping kids at desks? I could be imagining things. _________________________________________ http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/1094/ Hannah Kuhlmann - kuhl0025@tc.umn.edu _________________________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Apr 1999 21:25:45 -0700 From: Stacy Lynn Subject: RF forwarding (TUBORM) Got this from Barbi, she wants you all to know... >Stacy, >Could you do me a favor and forward this to the RF?
