If so, please email me at the above address, but preferrably to: *If the server kicks it back, send it to:* Short story long, I'm doing some music for the ABC affiliate up there. I will get more in depth if anyone responds. p.s.--I haven't heard any of the stuff off of the new BFF album yet. I would like to say that it's b/c I want to wait until the actual release date, but that's not true. I just jealous of the rest of you, and I'll admit it like the half-a-man that I am. p.p.s.--I just bought an original Seinfeld script of "The Contest" episode! Ah, another piece of meaningless memorabilia to add to my collection.... p.p.p.s--Markus!! My Sinfo CD kicks! It is in constant rotation at home and in the car for all guests to hear. I haven't made it down to the radio stations yet, b/c I don't want to give up my copy. How selfish. p.p.p.p.s.--Anne!! God bless your little pea pickin' heart for remembering me! The next sip of bourbon I take (gulp...it was just then), is in honor of you. I now shall return to my exciting evening of waxing my elbows, sitting waist-deep in gravy, shaving my pet halibut, and translating Jane Eyre into Pig Latin..... Hey all! Yeah, I've been hearing Everybody's Free (to Wear Sunscreen) a lot lately. Strangely enough, the website that Stacy mentioned is none other than the local (to me) WFNX. Even more strange is the fact that they "retired" that song last week because they felt that it was getting overplayed. FNX... ahead of the curve as usual. Except when it comes to Army. Elisabeth... to answer your question, I heard Army on WBCN when I was flipping around late one night. The DJ even said that it was the first he'd heard it -- that someone had just handed it to him. I remember thinking that it was odd that BCN was breaking a new tune to the Boston area as FNX typically holds that honor. Regardless, I haven't heard it since on either station... Eric -- you can be my love slave anytime. (It's one step up from boy toy and three or four steps up from tub toy...). = ) Dave!!!! Holloway!!! It's good to see you are still around, man! I'll try to put my thinking cap on and formulate some more questions... = ) Peace out. - -Anne ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 13:41:40 -0700 (MST) From: Stacy L Flatt Subject: Re: Respect your elders... FNX... > ahead of the curve as usual. awesome. my station here, when I listen to it (and thats not much) is like that too. They break stuff way early. I'm actually surpirzed they haven't played bff army yuet cuz Chuck, the PD, is a major bff fan. I alw talk to him about cool music. he rocks. Oh, Courtney, the morning guy here, his name is Ted Striker, he is moving to LA. Well, he said west coast, and second largest radio market... I assume LA. And He wouldn't just take any old job, so I'm wondering if its k rock or something... anyway, listen for him. He won't have a morning show anymore, ut he is damn good. and btw, the reason I don't listen to kfma as much is because of 2 things. I have way too many cds now and if I am going to spend that much money on them, I damn well better get plenty of use out of them, and #2, while they may break songs early, they still play them a LOT. I don't ever want to hear a song so much that I get sick of it, so I t limit my commmercial radio tim. I listen to the morning show with Ted Striker, but his last day is tommrowo. He is just teh greates. And soon, I'll start listening to another morning show called The Point cuz my friend from KAMP just got hrid to be the cohost for the morning show. ROCK ON. That is so cool. Esp since I also know the other cohost. I actually know all of the more prominant DJs here in Tucson. Yay me. =-) And then, I also listen to the radio just to see if they ar3e playing anything cool that I should be made aware of. SPENCE! So glad to hear from you! Send me an email or something, I was thinking ou dropped off the face of the planet! and forgive the typos. I hit the FM button, and the first words I heard were, "Well I thought about the army, Dad said "son you *must be* high!" Weeeeeeeeeehoo! Good old FM106.3 at the NJ shore has Army on heavy rotation already. They're playing it every 106 minutes until Friday night! There's nothing quite like that feeling when you hear your favorite band on the radio, even when it's a song you have in your CD player at the moment and you've heard 1000 times. I still won't turn off Brick when I hear it (very rarely, in fact)...even after I heard it hourly, sandwiched between Celine Dion and Savage Garden when I used to work at the ice rink. Major props to 106.3 though, a station that still plays Underground on occasion, and that gave Song For The Dumped a much longer run than any other station in the area. If only the damn thing would come in better where I live! - - Leigh 13 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Mar 1999 00:03:29 -0500 From: John P Boyer Subject: Try this one out. Please.
