I just sat in front of my computer listening to it over and over yesterday; it's so different than some of their other stuff, and yet it's unmistakbly BFF. I really can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I'm very jealous of you lucky few who've already heard it (ahem, Sandi), and I'm very jealous of those of you who say you're getting an early copy (ahem, Stacy). I would love to get my hands on an advance copy....maybe I will try to pull some strings throughthe newspaper. Yesterday it snowed, and while it was beautiful, I am sick of snow. I am headed out to sunny California on Saturday to visit my sister for spring break. At least it won't snow there! cheers, Katy ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Mar 1999 21:58:05 -0500 From: Kristin Klevering Subject: "Don't Change Your Plans" Hi all - I got the link to the RealAudio of the song this morning. I listened to it a couple of times while I was irnoning, thought it was kind of slow, but no real interest. Then I got home from work and listen to it again - It's blowing my mind as I speak! I'm the kind of BFF fan who really loves the faster stuff, like Last Polka and Philosophy. When I first heard Bad Idea I danced for hours in my room because I loved it so much! But this song is much deeper, and I love the piano's circular rhythm. The chorus just makes me want to cry, as it's so beautiful. And that cute whistle near the end makes me laugh. I don't like all BFF songs, in fact I really don't like SFTD and was bummed when that was released as a single. This song just rocks my world right now, even more than "Army", which I thought was the greatest thing when I first heard it (I still love it, mind you). I'm not afraid of not liking the new album anymore, as I love this new slower song. I'm so eager to hear more, as I'm sure most of you are, as well. If the album is anything like the two songs I've heard so far, I'll be in heaven on April 27th, and for at least a month afterwords! Hey FL, I miss ya. Well, as I did with the Army RealAudio file, I've encoded the RA of "Don't Change Your Plans" into an mp3 for those of you who dig that sort of thing. You can all go suck up my bandwidth now. I'll have to make some sort of header page tonight if I have time. "Army": http://dan.nodata.org/army.mp3 "Don't Change Your Plans": http://dan.nodata.org/plans.mp3 I agree that it's quite lovely. I wish I had some sheet music. Anyone? Anyone? :) ~Dan Cohen http://dan.nodata.org UIN: 13907258 ps. about the laughter in "Army": I think it was part of the original recording; I highly doubt it was able to be picked up as background noise at my house; and if it was, it would certainly be a scream of rage instead of a laugh. Hurray for familial dysfunction. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Mar 1999 00:41:03 -0600 From: Clayton Smith Subject: ok, ill come out of hiding anyone remember me?
