Guess what I heard the other day! ARMY! and that not all.... Don't Change Your Plans!! See, there are a couple mp3s floating around... and I have them on my computer, but see my soundcard is broken (AHHH PURE TORTURE!!!) Well, what did I do? I made a long distance phone call to hear them. LOL. Yes, I am a crazy crazy girl. Crazy about Ben, anyway. And you know what? I started thinking about the songs. My first song I heard was Don't Change Your Plans... and I was.. Well, Leigh, I melted. It was just so good. And Army, well, I laughed out loud. It was great! And still so wonderful musically. I loved it. It is completely unlike their 1st album. ITs also nothing like their 2nd. Of course, it bears no resemblance to NBP because thats just live and rarities.... So after I melted, was floored, and blown away by how wonderful I though it was... Last night while I was waiting for my friend to pick me up so we could go out, I just started listsening to songs. Not whole CDs, but songs. Who here likes Jason Falkner or the Grays? Go buy the Grays CD Ro Sham Bo. Thats an order. Anyway. I was in such a cd listening mood when I got home from going out, that I listened to cds all night, and even stuck 3 in my changer and listened to them as I fell asleep. One of the cds that I stuck in the changer was The Whitlams. and EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS LIST MUST GO TO MY WEBPAGE, AND ORDER THE WHITLAMS CD THROUGH CD NOW. Ok, enough caps, but it is true. This cd is absolutely amazing. And thats not all of it. SEe, You know how people are saying the new BFF has burt bacherach influance? Well, I think that in all their trips to Australia, they have heard the Whitlams. And I hear a Whitlams influence in the 2 songs I heard. The full orchestration, the use of irony and story telling in the song (yes they did that before, just keep listening) and basically, the feel of the songs seems to show the same feel as The Whitlams. Anyway. I'm still trying to find me a copy of the album... I will never rest til I can hear it on my stereo as opposed to mp3s I can't lsiten to or long distance phone calls... Whoa, just got an email from who offered to send me a copy. It should be in the mail on Monday. =-) ROCK ON! Stacy If the path of least resistance is all you ever take Well at least you've been consistant And for that, I've baked you a cake. --Jason Falkner "Author Unknown" Stacy Lynn stacyf@u.arizona.edu http://www.u.arizona.edu/~stacyf icq: 7641939 ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V2 #94 ********************************
