I don't know why, but that has become one of my favorite phrases over this week. I think it comes from watching too many Kung Fu movies in an altered state of mind. Anyway, I'm just finished with my Spring Break, going back to work for the first time, and I'm sucking it in hard. Ugh. So, is the new single supposed to be out in the states anytime soon? Since I'm not as cool or connected as some of the others on here, I depend on you guys for my info. *momentary shudder* Anyway, on the love life front, I've just completed a love quadrangle, one of my crowning achievements in stupidity. Ah well, it's fun though. Anyway, I'm back off to the salt mines. Don't do anything I wouldn't do, kids! Laters! MSI monitors band web sites & the local music scene here in Seattle. This is what they had to say about www.sinforosa.com... From: msi Sent: Monday, March 8, 1999 10:59 AM Coolneess! Here's what the editor had to say about your award-winning site... "It isn't too often you see the web exploited as a pure visual medium, but that's exactly what Sinforsa has done with their ultra groovy site. take some time to read the tale of the band, or jump right into the straight line of background information, sounds and contact information that is the core of solid band promotion efforts on the Web. This site is an absolute visual treat, with wonderfully simple, but sophisticated graphic and navigational design." And the big news flash from this appearance is - Ben is moving to Adelaide (South Australia) to be with the girlfriend (Frally?) because "they are having kids" - Woah! And now - new music - ARMY!!!! Gotta love triple J - more updates as they come - but that news freaked me and had to share it with everyone. Jodie ps - I quite like Army.... definitely moving in new directions, with the same biting lyrics - a calculated move to lose some of the 'Brick' fans perhaps.... I dont write my music for Sony. I write for the people who are screaming down the road, crying to a full blast stereo. There is also music I'll make that will never-ever-ever be for sale. This is my music alone, this is my true home; from which all things are born and from which all my life will spring untainted and unworried, fully of my own body. ARMY HAD ITS WORLD DEBUT ON JJJ and it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very autobiographical and it has trumpets and most importantly it mentions the MULLLET!!! which as you will all recall we discussed with such humour late in december and early in january this year on this very armchair: SEE IT ALL TIES IN!! off-topic then, but no longer (especially that the singer mentions having had a mullet haircut....) oh yeh and i keep hearing built to spill on jjj ('carry the zero' specifically) and they are cool. I liiiiike. ben (the man himself) confirmed that said album is called TUBORM, and told a funny (and true sounding... we know these guys and their lies) story about darren using teh name reinhold messner on a id card scheme and getting thrown into jail for it (very abbrevieated version here- darren was a jailbird, very cute!) and ben said the album is coming out on april 27th they played, fear of pop, ARMY!!!! and in love (and not the album version methinks, I hear ben say, 'hey thats...' about it as I left the room to rush to class) that was so exciting to listen to. I had all the old chills adn buzz and now I'm going to listen to it again, but backwards this time so that I can retrieve any hidden messages (that was me taking the piss at my own desperate fandom there) oh yeh and I'm a bad girl for doing a double message to the ma and rf. c'mon! I have like, no time. btw has anyone heard adn pissed themsleves at that m&m song: 'my name is' this my people is what these damn mailing lists are for!!! taves (very excited, very very excited and definitely excited) (i love army.)
