Wow! What a long RF we had! And it was full of Bentent! And Sandi posted! I tell you, it was loverly, it really was... Welp. On the personal news front... Anyone who happened to be watching CNN last night at 10pm Eastern got to see my wonderful back for a good 5-10 seconds. You see, this CNN/EW newsmag did a special on MP3.com and how new bands are using it to get exposure. The "new" band that was featured was a swing band -- Ron Sunshine & Full Swing (a band outta NYC). Now, this band just happened to play the Roxy in Boston* last Friday and that is when CNN was taping. And I just happened to be there with a whole slew of friends. And apparently, I was also in the line of the camera for a few moments. For those of you who *did* happen to watch -- "my" 10 seconds of almost-fame happened during the lead-in (the top of the show when they introduced all the segments) -- when they showed the shot of the crowd on the dance floor that was me pretty much dead center, back to the camera, all in black, dancing with a tall guy wearing a white shirt and tie. And that was it. It the time it took me to realize that it was me and to shout "Hey! That's me!" I was already off. My 5+ seconds of fame are through... Oh yeah! I almost forgot... guess who was learning how to swing that night with the rest of us schlubs? Tori Amos. Yes, THE Tori Amos. Looking quite nice in a plain black dress that reached her calves. She is not as petite as she looks on stage... and she is quite pretty. I think that is all for me... Have a great weekend, y'all! - -Anne P.S. Anoop - I think it's 25 years, not 25 women... it doesn't make sense the other way. Y'see, he is answering her claim that "he can't respect her because she's done so much for him." He is saying that she hasn't done all that much -- otherwise, how did he survive living on his own for 25 years?... At least that's my story, and you KNOW I'm sticking to it. * Oh yeah, BeFeF has played there... Bentent. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Feb 1999 11:36:22 EST From: Sandibrady@aol.com Subject: Breakup at the Food Court Breakup at the Food Court was not included on the album because it wasn't ever finished...apparently it's "missing something" and it won't see the light of day until Ben figures out exactly what that something is. Expect another song with lyrics by Anna Goodman and expect to hear Ben's father as well. hehe. "Army" (the first single) sounds very BF5ish complete with swear words...the only one on the album that does...since it's the first single, the first line of the song will be changed a bit for the radio edit, but will be even more butchered up for Empty-V: the radio edit will be used along with a beep over the word "high".
