Belated happy Mardi Gras (if I knew the French for "Ash", I'd wish y'all a happy Ash Wenesday, but 8th grade French was WAY too long ago). Barbi, Katie, Matthew, Spencer: I sent your CDs yesterday. If your name isn't on that list & you haven't ALREADY gotten Sinforosa CDs, well, then I'm afraid I've nothing much to say to yas:-)! More Sinformation coming soon... Elisabeth, I'm here. Just lurking. I tire of the world of e-mail sometimes. Unfortunately. And these damn Collegiate debate tournaments are starting to kick my ass, and my classes are so tough. But at your urgence, I shall post. Courtney you rule. My mom has you beat. She plays FreeCell obsessively. She is trying to beat all 60000 or so possible combinations of the game, I believe she's in the 9000's now. You can play any game you want, each is assigned a number, so she enter's the number she wishes to play and is knocking them off one by one. Madness. Otherwise, I don't do much. Just sit around. I've gotten several cd's lately that I feel I must mention. Here goes... Push Kings - Far Places. The newest album from the perfect amalgam of teh beatles and beach boys with a touch of bff and sloan for good measure. A must get. CDNow has it and their debut. Both on Sealed Fate records out of Massachussets. Track Star - Communication Breaks. Annoying Indie Rock that has me keep coming back for more. I can't explain it. Contains the most boring 33 minute track in the history of rock and roll. roadside monument - i am the day of current taste. excellent emo band. mineral - endsernading. essential emo. mojave3 - out of tune. excellent acoustic pop album. if the red house painters went pop, this is what they'd sound like. That's it essentially. Read two damn good books recently too. Saul Bellow's Henderson the Rain King(book Rain King by Counting Crows is based on) and I might think it's the best book ever written. Check back with me. Also, Elie Wiesel's Night. Depressing as hell. Uplifting as heaven. All in one book. I don't know how Wiesel did it, but this is far and away the best account of the holocaust i've come across, save maybe Life is Beautiful(if it doesn't win best picture it's a freaking shame). There you go Elisabeth. I'm around. I didn't even think you guys knew who I was. Now people are requesting my presence! What's next? Wow. I can't wait. Ciao folks. Back to lurking. Unless Elisabeth calls me out again. John "I still like to be in the dark. At least sometimes. It does me good, I think. In the dark I speak God's language and no one can hear me. Do not be angry, please. I cannot help it." --Paul Auster ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
