I say this only because I have a friend who bought one and it promptly died on her two months later in the middle of a bridge. Maybe the same won't happen to you, but if you have heat...that's good. Real good. How dare he do that to a sacred vestment such as a BFF shirt! If it were the Doobie Brothers-style farewell shirt (MA quote: "Are BFF really breaking up? I saw that breakup shirt and figured it was a misprint, since it's 1999, not 1979..."), he should be castrated...I mean, castigated :) for desecrating such an honored item. I'm an awesome driver. God, I rule. Snow? Got it. Rain? Got it. Ice storms? Got it. And I can change windshield washer fluid on the fly. Yet I still don't have a job. And tonight is the big game. The defensive back for the Falcons, Eugene Robinson, in case you haven't heard, was arrested for soliciting a prostitute last night. D'oh! My friend Mike and I are heading to Hooters to watch the game. I figure football, food, and sex, those three bastions of the male presence, come together perfectly in this one place. It's almost as if it was meant to be. And we're getting a new kitten since our cat died on Wednesday. My sisters are not known for their lengthy periods of mourning. If I die in a car accident, the first thing they'll say, together, on cue: "DIBS ON DAN'S ROOM!" I'd hate to see it when I leave for college. I suggest a fight to the death with medieval weapons to decide. Oh yes...and my web site URL changed and now works. Damn ddns.org and their slow servers. ~Dan http://dan.nodata.org UIN: 13907258 ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Jan 1999 12:39:14 EST From: GrnEgNham@aol.com Subject: Extreme Walking Hey all. I am a lurker. Read occassionally, post rarely. Question---many weeks/months ago someone mentioned Extreme or Freestyle walking, saying there was a website that sells shoes for it. Does anyone recall that? Can anyone hook me up with the address? I'd appreciate it. I suppose this should have some relevance to Ben Folds Five, so.............Um, the three guys each have 2 legs (that makes for 6) and are capable of walking. Hence, they too are potential/experienced extreme/freestyle walkers. Please just e-mail me directly if you have any info, as i do not read the RF too much. I love monty python. hehe i havent posted in the looongest time... maybe its been a week, but it seems like ages, hehe. I had exams 2 weeks ago and i am still recovering. I had a really horrible week. I am thinking about dropping my honors English class because I dont have time for all of the work. I usually have 2 hours of reading to do for homework after doing almost 2 hours of homework. Plus, I get home from school at 5. not fun. (I go to a college prep school) my advisor wont let me drop the class now because she thinks i can handle the work so now she is making me wait a week to make sure that i am 100% definite on my decision or somehting. That is definately not the bad part of my week because i got a literature test back on thursday and i got an A . Well, my brother died of cancer about 2 years ago and today is his birthday so i went to the cemetary with my parents. It made for a rather gloomy day. The rain outside put me to sleep in the car on the way home and when i woke up i overheard my parents talking about child support and my mom starting a business or something, and earlier this morning they were fighting really loud.. soo.. i am guessing they are getting divorced and havent decided to tell me anything yet, even though i would say it wouldnt be a surprise. I think it would be more of a surprise if i they werent getting divorced. Oy, I'm gonna stop thinking about this.. In happier news, I remembered to tape the Fear of Pop performance on Conan. Thats a first. I've been watching it over and over again. It was so great!!! =) My friends want to borrow the tape but I am afraid to give it to them. I dont want to lose it because i also have a short portion of reverb on there and also the really short performance on snl. I cant lose that tape! as you can see, I really trust my friends, hehe. Oh yeah, i also got our satellite dish to work. I wasnt getting M2 or much music before. The first video i saw when i turned on M2 was "April Fools" ahh, i love rufus! =) well, i hope everyone's ok!! lov ya!! - ---> jez ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Jan 1999 18:02:51 PST From: "E.M. Donnell" Subject: Egad! Im sad! Hey all, Ive been through email trauma, but Ive emerged a stronger person. And now I have five million addys. But all this talk of Rushmore has me saying, Who hoo! I saw it Friday (early screening, because I have the hookups. Seriously. I risked my life to get the tickets.) and it kicked my ass. Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson are my heroes. Im going to see it multiple times in the cineplex. Im so impressed with the quality of the script, the awesome performances, and the fun scottish kid! Now I dont know if ya'll know, but I adore Bottle Rocket. Its my favorite movie. Those guys inspire me. Whoo hoo!!! Rushmore!!!!!!! Yes!!!! I saw Shes All That today. Freddie Prinze is by far my new crush, and I enjoyed the Rockafeller Skank group dance, but dear god, I have to agree with Courtney. Usher, shut up!!! I hope that makes the song more popular so thus, it will be played at my prom. Because we only like the cheesy popular shit at archies. Ill take emails concerning Rushmore, because I want to talk about it!! I think Alicia Silverstone's performance in Clueless is great. God that movie is adorable. ~Elisabeth "Yes Im slightly depressed. (Why? Because it's better for everyone that we don't pick up real weapons to relieve stress. ;> ) Over in Subway, one of the guys was quitting (which was sad, 'cause he's one of the cooler people in the place) and he brought his guitar, and amp, and a friend with a drum kit there. They played away his last moments at Subway, kicking out some hardcore jams. It was great. I love this city. I went to a biker bar in Muskegon last night, which was kinda cool. But my big accomplishment for the weekend was discovering the point of life. I discovered this sitting around with my buddy Chris (the mystical Taoist who works in a porn shop) and a whole bunch of others watching kung fu flicks. (Shaolin vs. Wu Tang, one of the greats.) Life is all about sake and bitches, my friends. Go forth and spread this knowledge throughout the land. ;) Anyway, that's enough of my claptrap. Laters all. 4 days 'til I'm 21! Hail Eris!
