Really. em: *snigger* oh, sorry, can't help it. kind of hard to explain. think of anthony hopkins...no no, long story. sorry. forgive me for rambling. oh, god, not her hannibal lecter fixation again - for fear of comeback, I won't tell everyone what kind of mask she owns...oops... Fear of Pop: Ah, yes, me and Kirst were discussing this just the other day. It bothers me it does, but then I'm not exactly what you'd call "pro-propellerheads". Not at all, in fact. We came to the conclusion that it may not be Prop-esque, but more chillout style. Does this intrigue anyone like it did me - I mean, Propellerheads stuff just isn't going to suit Ben, and I don't just say that 'cause I hate it. The idea of relaxing vibes is much more appealing. Books: Bugger. I really should read more. As far as I get nowadays is a look through my Calvin & Hobbes book. Ah, the memories *wipes a tear away* sorry... Classic rock: "MOR tunes are the rocks that today's musical society are built on". Me, about 5 minutes ago. And can I just add how much results day sucks. Two of me mates now have uncertainty staring them in the face thanks to one bloke's opinion on whether their essay answers are right or not. Now, if that doesn't suck, I don't know what does. What a load of bollocks. My 10th reunion is in about a month &, MAN, we had some lookers in my class. Perhaps I, too, will get some digits. Course, not ta burst your bubble (or mine), but the fact that you're taken may be the reason you got those numbers...chicks are weird! It also might not help my cause that my high school is over 2,000 miles away. Perhaps my "cunning linguistics" will attract some former classmates, eh, Anne?! I'll let both y'all put in good words for me:-)! 2nd...well...I was gonna make reference to my cunning use of linguistics, but I already did. 3rd...it's simple, folks. "Y'all" is for a group of people; "all y'all" is for every member of a group of people; never, EVER use "you'ns" or "youse guys"...@ least until Merriam Webster says it's OK to do so. 4th...next time I cheat on my wife (yeah, right...if I ever have one of those things again she'll not get cheated on, thankyouverymuch), I sure hope there's a couple small, middle eastern countries around for me ta bomb! Still, not to condone anything Bill has done in his private life, it IS his private life. He's certainly not the 1st president to cheat on his wife OR to "lie under oath" (it was immaterial to the case @ hand, which was dismissed, so legally it doesn't count), & I'm afraid he won't be the last. @ least he didn't lie about raising taxes, protecting the environment, or giving terrorists a hell of a deal on weapons!!! For my tax money, he's still the greatest president we've had in my lifetime...till Gore takes over...then, of course, we'll have the Cordon/Kamp/Keller/Lyons/Lyons (in no particular order, except alphabetical) dynasty! I can't wait. I hear White House interns are ripe for tha pickin'! 5th...just 'cause I ain't done so in a bit, I present my CD selections for this, the 3rd week in August, 1998: Los Amigos Invisibles, "The New Sound of the Venezuelan Gozadera"; Tori Amos, "From the Choirgirl Hotel"; Erykah Badu, "Live"; Various Artists, "Bliss"; The Chieftains, "Fire in the Kitchen"; Miles Davis, "Panthalassa"; Peter Gabriel, "Secret World Live"; Various Artists, "Latin Colors of the World"; DMB, "Before These Crowded Streets"; Papa Wemba, "Molokai"; Polytown, "Polytown"; Portishead, "Dummy" and "Portishead"; Radio Tarifa, "Temporal"; Sinforosa, "Hypnopotion" CD single:-)!; Soul Coughing, "Irresistible Bliss". 6th...Markus's advice, pt. 178: Have a great feckin' weekend...OK, so it's not advice...DO IT ANYWAY!!! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 15:50:43 EDT From: F2G2@aol.com Subject: clever things said in a clever monotone, pt. 2 ah..........friday. mcgwire's got 51! jordan. we're all nerds here. lexie. don't feel so bad.......i was gooshing all over the place when i first met the boys. goosh. the voluptuous one. rush? we've finally found your fatal, single flaw. well, that and auld milwaukee....... and about your voluptuousity. I am totally digging Jason Faulkner too. he has a solo album plus he plays on Eric Mathews album. I forget which one. Anyway, he rocks. And so does the Moog Cookbook. If you like BFF, I'm telling you, go buy Spilt Milk or Bellybutton by Jellyfish and you will not be disappointed. >Ummm Fanitic...oh well I missed it, but its ok I heard it sucked anyway. let me clarify... FANatic only sucked because MTV sucks. Ben, Rob, and Darren did not suck, they were awesome. And Dan who interviewed them did a great job as well. MTV just cut it way too short and didn't show enough. But Dan did an awesome job. Crackdown is a great tune and the thing about Copperopolis is that it is a concept album. All the songs are supposed to relate to their imaginary town called Copperopolis. They are all providing different aspects of the setting of the city. That's sooo cool. Bethlehem Steel is completely filled with references to actual places in Bethlehem, PA. They just picked a bunch of favorite towns and took their attributes to form their own. Certainly a place that I'd like to live. Man all this talk of hiphop(Big Pun) and I gotta jump in. If you wanna get into hiphop, these are the following artists to start with... Blackalicious DJ Shadow Common Jeru the Damaja Dr. Octagon A Tribe Called Quest Stick with these and you are sooo set. Man, I gotta go hear some Common now. Oh well. Time to go!!! Thanks for the Fear of Pop info...now I need more!!! Sorry to be pushy, but I gotta find out!
