Each song is no more than 3-4 minutes long. and I'm pretty sure they get a half hour segment, with commercials it comes out to 23.... unless the bastards give more time to Squeeze. I mean, I like squeeze, but I would much rather hear my cry's for evaporated at the show on tape. ahhh... Oh yeah, Erik, congratulations on your daughter..... And congratulations on the Cubs doing well. I think I'm beginning to give up hope for the Mets. Especially since it looks like they're gonna lose Piazza. Saving Private Ryan was a really depressing, graphic, gory movie. I got very little sleep last night. sean ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Aug 1998 14:53:09 -0400 From: "Lyons, Anne" Subject: Yo ho, yo ho A pirates life for me... We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot Drink up me 'earties, yo ho. We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot Drink up me 'earties, yo ho. Hey all! Just a few notes to y'all... First off... can we have the next BENCon near Orlando? I feel a need to go to DisneyWorld... Of course, I'm still OK with Hawaii (I'm young at heart, not insane in the brain!). Damn. Now I've got Cypress Hill in my head... I *knew* I should have said "touched in the mind" instead... But I digress... RFRW: My Catholic schoolgirl outfit just came back from the cleaners -- there's just something about the plaid skirt, crisp white shirt and ankle socks that go so well with my beads... I've actually been spending a lot of time in the kitchen cooking as Spencer has had the munchies for days now. He keeps telling me that he's OK to make his own food... but I have a feeling that Markus may taunt him into making fried PB & banana sandwiches... and you all know how proud Spence is of his prowess with the iron. But anyway... I'm also getting a bit nervous -- Courtney has expressly asked me to be a part of her next "ceremony" -- something about needing a "fresh something-or-other" -- I'm hoping she meant to say "perspective". But we're all juiced for a visit from E this weekend! He's flying down here to ostensibly get some sleep... but I ask you, do you think he'll get more sleep at home with a newborn or here in N'awlins with the 8 of us, the jacuzzi, the pool table and whatever boozy concoction Matthew whips up for us this week? And passing out does not count for sleep... In theaters: I've recently seen Saving Private Ryan and There's Something About Mary. I cried throughout both. SPR was completely awesome -- and I mean awesome in the true sense of the word -- the D-Day scene is just incredible. For full effect -- go see it in a theater with the Dolby surroundsound (or whatever they call it). As to TSAM... I laughed so hard I cried *multiple* times during the film. I haven't laughed that hard in a theater since I saw Naked Gun... maybe I was in the right mood or whatever... but all I can say is... "franknbeans franknbeans". I also saw Out of Sight recently... it too was a really good movie. I think I may have to stay out of theaters for a bit... this streak is just too good to kill! Anyway... to recap -- I highly recommend Saving Private Ryan, Something About Mary and Out of Sight. Of course, you can always stay home and rent Good Will Hunting... and if anyone has trouble interpreting the South Boston accent... I will be happy to translate. Later! - -Anne "I got her numba.
