Have some Filers made another Armchair Assault w/out consulting dear ol' Markus? Well, finally met a Fjordian last night. Yep, Courtney convinced me to schlep down to RKCNDY for Rufus Wainright/Sean Lennon. 1st off, lemme say that anyone born w/the genetic propensity for musicianship that either 1 of these 2 guys has is CHEATING!!! 2nd, Courtney is really cool (no surprise) & it was a kick finally meeting one of y'all. 1ce we found each other we had a good time--except for the girl w/the evil hair that kept stabbing us w/her Bun of Pipe Cleaner & for the fact that Court-nay wouldn't share her damn fan! Oh well, @ least she didn't run into my car. Seems to be all the rage these days. If you get a chance (although the tour is almost over), Sean is worth whatever the tix cost--& his drummer gets the Markus Seal Of Approval. Also, if you get a chance (don't know how long her tour lasts), meeting Courtney is worth whatever effort the rendezvous requires. No Bentent. How 'bout Filetent? Sandi--rough news 'bout Mom! & Mr. Right (or Not Quite Right, as the case may be). Just remember, you've always got a date in Seattle:-)! FL--sometimes you ramble (not quite Annebling, though--1 Annebler's enough, thankyouverymuch), but your wish of luck is much appreciated in the Sinfocamp! In dubbing off our old tape for Courtney yesterday, I realized how wonderful our CD will be in comparison. If you already own a copy of the tape, well look out 'cause, Baby, this CD's gonna boot you right in the butt. If you don't own a copy of the tape, (a) too late & (b) the CD'll still romp all over your acoustic pop sensibilities! OK, enough for now. Time to fake working & take a nap. Lyons" Subject: VH1 and the reliability of Frank's info.... If you go by Frank's website, and isn't he the man, Brick will be popped on the 25th. If you go by VH1's website, the video is being popped on August 1, at 6pm e.s.t. I am even going to go out on a limb and say there will be NO popping on the 25th @ 6pm, as there is no popping scheduled for that time. If you don't believe me, hit rockontv.com Don't ask me. Just watch vh1 24-7 until you see it if you are that eager to see it. THEN, I will personally fly to mtv, camp outside until someone sees me and lets me explain to them how BIG of a FANatic you are. Like that is going to happen. Hi all - I've been offline because my server went down for oh, like, over a week! Then, just when I get 2 days back online, we have a huge storm here in Michigan and my power goes out. For 2 days. I have not been a happy girl. I feel so out of touch. So out of touch with everything that at a staff meeting at work, Dr. Kroll tells me "Oh, Kristin, that Ben Folds band or whatever are going to be on Saturday Night Live this weekend." I almost died! Here, this 50 year old psychiatrist is who probably hasn't listened to a lick of pop music in the past 25 years, if ever, knows about the SNL repeat before I do? I just want to say it's great to be back online and back on the Files! I've missed you all, and you didn't even know it!
