There are even some mixes posted on there, so go peruse and enjoy! >>I went to Jen's "Mix Tape's A Masterpiece" site tonight as well, and it's just teriffic! You all should check it out - great graphics (how did you do it so quickly, Jen?). I have no life. Seriously, I'm a total perfectionist and I stay up until like 4 am or until the darn thing is right (or almost right). Thanks for the compliments though, I'm flattered. :) >>I would be interested in doing a blind mix tape trade, though. That's part of the fun of mix tape exchanges - never knowing what you're going to get. Someone posted about this earlier, and I don't remember who, sorry. I wonder if this could be included into your site, Jen? Just a suggestion. Yeah, I totally agree....I will have to come up with a way to do that, so give me a day or two...I guess just tell me when you send the mix to me whether or not you want it in the "blind mix" section or in the "unblind (?) mix" section and I will figure it out. No prob! Hey, at work last night (Blockbuster) I actually had a customer whose last name was "Bentent." I'm thinking it's probably French or something. I also had a Near Death Experience when the BFF video I brought in to watch got stuck in our piece-o-crap VCR and practically broke. Since I am the manager (woo-hoo.) I ordered one of the employees to break the VCR open and surgically remove the tape. It's ok though, just in case you were worried. :) Can't say the same for the VCR.... Still haven't made my *own* mix tape, Jen A closed mouth invites no foot. ======================================== Jennifer Auletto jenauletto@earthlink.net Mix Tape's a Masterpiece http://home.earthlink.net/~jenauletto/bff/mix.html ======================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 09:40:09 -0400 (EDT) From: Eric Patton Subject: Re: Kate Let's see, I'm a Tenor 2 in the U of Michigan Men's Glee Club, I love kids (they're like veal, but better! ;> ) I can cook, with the World's Best French Toast being my specialty, I love to dance, as far as music, well, we're both here, aren't we? I've been extremely busy lately so I just recently got to read and catch up on all the lastest RF's action. LOVE the RRBFF and RWBFF, great idea!! hehe I have some very distrurbing news, I...me...uh...I was kicked off the MA!! I know, I know, you're all very shocked and as hurt as I am. My crime: wasting space and according to Frank my post was "contributing to the deterioration of the mailing list". Hmmmmm...I think I shall say no more... ANYWAYS, Ben Folds Five is now officailly back on my rotation list!! The kids that I nanny for love them and demand the "chicken song" (Fair) everytime we get into the car. I don't have the heart to tell them that it's "ba ba ba" not "bock bock bock". Especailly when I hear the seven year old tell his friend, "I'm going to be just like Ben Folds when I grow up! I'm going to play piano just like him!" Thankfully this week we actually moved on to the S/T cd and they love it too, especially "Philosophy". If you live in the Bay Area in CA you can find Belle and Sebastian's Tigermilk at Ameoba records in Berkeley or in San Fran. Just thought I'd add to that little thread. Well, I will be gone for a while again. Going to visit parents in Alaska for two weeks! Woo hoo! Any BFF fans in Alaska, besides my dad, yes my 52 year old dad, and my 15 year old brother? :) - -Lauren ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 14:59:18 -0600 From: "Erik C. I am one short for softball tonight. Can anybody play third base? You have to drink a beer an inning though, and be a 34c....right-o! Wait, don't even think about the sex-hass suit, for I am shielded by RF-client privilege. thankyouverymuch. At Job-Con 4 today (out of a possible 5)....grrrrrrrrrrrr, I hate clerical idiots. Someone asked me today if I wanted to join the Environmental Professionals Organization today. Whoa....I think people forget. I hate working for the environment. Although, I think the Sierra Club is a wonderful organization, and we should rip the dicks off the a-holes who keep running dozers through South America. Digressing, digressing.... WOW. Great playing by all, and I especially wanted to comment on Pete Sears, the Hot Tuna keyboardist. Amazing...the end of one song kinda sounded like Uncle Walter, too ("bentent"). Everything was great. The Other Ones did all Dead songs, "Ripple" was the encore. Hey, and I got some cool pants and a kerouac book too. Anyone goin' to conan o' brian? So I return after a week's long absence from my computer, and yes, I read through a week's worth of RF. So sad I missed the chance to be in RF RR, but cheers to those of ya'all who are on the Winnie. I just got back from a very shift at the movie theater where no one wanted to buy any tickets from me. Everyone is saving up to go see Armageddon this weekenend. When things are swlow, the best way to pass time is to guess what movies the people coming up are going to see. Like if it's two 14 year old girls, it will probably be Can't Hardly Wait and if it's two guys around ten, they scream Dr. Doolittle. And then there are the people who defy stereotypes, like the 75-year old woman who bought 14 senior tickets to X-Files. But I ramble. or "anneble," if I were Anne. yay for blind mix tape trades -- that's half the fun, besides the covers. So while watching the Daria marathon on Monday, I saw a commercial for Fanatic, this new MTV show where fans get to meet the objects of thier affection, and I think that they should do a Fjordian episode. Imagine how entertaining it would be! And if it didd well, the RF RR could become a reality. Finally, the rest of the world could be treated to Sandi after ten-cent beer night and the rest of RF Brilliance.
