Hiya. Ok, here's the deal...the mix tape trading page is done for the most part, but I couldn't figure out how to put a form on there so I am just gonna have everyone e-mail me with their submissions and I will post them. I put an example up of what it will look like when I post your tape, so go check it out! Now! Hannah: Great idea about the tape case insert thingies, by the way! :) This has been Jen. And I'd have to say that they are practically swank incarnate. I mean they have their swing ballad, Steven's., and Ben & Rob's stage banter is quite swank... I am sure Darren's would be too if he talked more (at least at the shows I have been in attendence for.) but he plays the drums swankly (if that's a word :) I am REALLY out of the loop, I have been back logged with my RF, I swear this vacation just messed up my whole posting/reading pattern... so now I ask myself was going to California really worth it (LOL!). Anyway the whole signing up to be on the RFRR completely passed me by... DARN! Well if you guys kick anyone out, I could be the vagrant you pick up to take his/her place... It's a thought. Well I hope to be posting on Jens page soon for mix tapes, you all would be too lucky to grab up Kristen's if she posts one! The one she traded with me ROCKS THE PARTY THAT ROCKS THE BODY! Taker Easy! Right in the middle of Saturday Night Live reruns, too. :P Vito, that was a horrible horrible story about your bootleg! Maybe you could go back and trade the guy a jellyfish tape for your Ben. . .he sounded laid back enough to try it. (?) Where are you people finding Tigermilk? I had a tough enough time finding If you're Feeling Sinister (eventually it turned up at Best Buy, go figure) and the B sides/shorter discs/whatever they are. . .Tell me tell me! Even if it's like a direct deal with Satan or something, enlighten me. . . oh, and finally, speaking of bootlegs - I just added a link to my page (it's also in my guestbook. And it's NOT on this computer, so I can't just post it, sorry. I'll get it for later.) that's got a boot section with recent live stuff like Raindrops Keep Falling on my head, and a live CD. :) wow, I just brought this thing full circle with that raindrops mention. . . - -Hannah _________________________________________ http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/1094/ your Ben Folds Five resource center online since 1997 _________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. You can't dissuade me. But I had a Ben dream, and I don't think I need Anne to analyze it, but everyone can if they want. I visited a friend, and we went to the concert. So I'm there, and at the end, I run back to her house, change, put on makeup, grab some cds and a camera, and go back to the concert. There, I meet Darren, give him my toy Sumo wrestler fan from the Archie McPhee catalog, and get a picture with him. This was the best moment of my life (well, in my dream) and I can guess from this dream that I am hard up to meet the boys. And If I don't soon.......... Lucy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Jun 1998 19:53:13 -0400 From: Kristin Klevering Subject: Old Navy Hi all - So yesterday, I did my bi-monthly trip to Old Navy to see if they had any cute, yet inexpensive clothes to update my summer wardrobe with. Now that the guy I'm seeing has left the hosptial I work at and is going to the UofM hospital, and I finally can not worry about looking cute at work anymore, I decide to shop and actually hit a bonanza there! Something is wrong with my karma, here. So I take all of my cute new outfits to the cash register and notice that they have these "do it yourself" snowglobes in the register aisle. Glitter globes, acutally, but they call them snowglobes. So I immediately think of making a BFF globe, and purchase one. Then I race home to print out pictures off the net to put into my new glitter globe. Yes, folks, I am now the proud owner of a glitter globe devoted to BFF! I'm a very sick girl. I know I'm BFF dependent and have been clinically diagnosed as such, but this is taking it to the outer limits! Luckily, the guy I'm seeing is a psychiatry resident, so he can help me (he's a fan, but not obsessed like me). I'll let him analyze me when he gets back from vacation. And the best part of it is that he won't charge me for it, and will probably buy me dinner as well! I can't wait to see what happens on our Road Rules! Eric, after the first episode, you seem to be a favorite of the group, and I'm not surprised - you are one cool dude! Can't wait to see which one of the females gets pregnant with your love child first! Later - Kristin ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Jun 1998 19:24:02 PDT From: "Courtney Knopf" Subject: Tigermilk Since Hannah asked..... I got *my* copy of Tigermilk from my friend Andy who got it from someone on the Sinister mailing list. And if anyone wants a copy, i would be happy to oblige. My weekend was fairly quiet. i went to see Out of Sight on friday and i rather enjoyed it. It was really well done, the camerawork and the story structure was pretty cool. And there were a bunch of cool smaller parts with some big actors in them. My stuff from Delia's came yesterday. I got a cute 3/4 sleeved lavender cardigan and a blue button down shirt with...3/4 sleeves. i feel like Laura Petrie when I wear it with my khakis. Now if i could only find a guy who was a comedy writer and had a habit of tripping over ottomans. And that shirt I ordered from J. Peterman that was "brick" in color came...and it was WHOLLY unsatisfying. It was too much shirt for me to handle. So off it goes, back to the Peterman empire. Oh, about the mixtapes...I dunno about you all, but I enjoy the element of surprise when it comes to getting them. maybe that's just me. But thanks to Jennifer for being so enterprising as to make an entire page for the RF mix tape cause! 10-4 good buddy. ~Courtney The Sultraness of Swing "An evil petting zoo....?" ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V1 #169 *********************************
