Okaym the whole story behind the mass attack on the MA (Mostly Apathetic) was actually invited, believe it or not. Someone actually remembered Anne, and asked her to be a part of Smart People's Month, a desperate attempt to sweep the MA free of vidiots and morons. Well, we decided to come down in force. Finally, I got to vent my bitter, cynical aggression for a good purpose. Wow, I feel so good, I think I'll start a revlolution or three now. VIVA ZAPISTA!!!! Hail Eris. ;) ERIC _______________________________________________________________________________ "Love is a fountain, Gryphon, a well -- a great many people can drink from it, and none detracts from any other's helping." -Asrial Arconan _______________________________________________________________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Jun 1998 07:59:49 -0700 From: "Kamp, Marcus S" Subject: Who Cares TEE-HEE!!! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 03 Jun 1998 15:43:30 -0500 From: Shara_Hoffman@hths.mcvsd.k12.nj.us (Shara Hoffman) Subject: i'm baaack hello again. i have finally got caught up on all the files i had sitting in my e-mail for a month, after the craziness of prom, three major projects in one week, and lack of sleep. so, how is everybody else? i would like to thank whoever mentioned about some of our fellow filers interjecting into the armchair. i found it quite humorous, and i can't wait to see what those other little armchairites think. haha. anyway, before i forget, i am going to two concerts in one week. i've had tickets for the DMB/BFF/Beck concert @ giant's stadium for a while. just this week, i won tickets from the radio station for a Beck/BFF/Elliott Smith show @ Jones Beach. of course i have finals the day after the jones beach concert, but hey, fun comes first, then work, & other such nonsense. i think i may bring my brother to the concert since he introduced me to the band & he has never seen them in concert yet. Somebody asked about the movie fear & loathing in las vegas. yes, i've seen it. pretty crazy. i had a headache when i went to see it & the movie made it a lot worse, but i really enjoyed it. Spencer- You asked about Steely Dan fans; well my uncle is THE steely dan fan. he is worse with steely dan than i am w/bff. i've never really listened to them though. ok, well, i have to go to work now. blah. - -shara - - ______________________________________ Monmouth County Vocational School District High Technology High School P.O. Lyons" Subject: quickie for the masses Steely Dan-- Spencer, I am a big fan. I wish I was around when they were around in the day. But, I must enjoy the live recordings while tripping *the live fantastic*... Sara -- hit the website at the school you goto. 2 reasons. #1. Bored. #2. I grew up in a town called Monmouth, which is here in Illinois. So anytime I see the name, I am fascinated and get all giddy. I remember driving around the city I live in now when I first moved here and saw Monmouth Court. cool. But, as I digress, I must ask about a kid who attends your school: Ramapriyan Pratwadibhayankaram...whatz up? That is quite a name. I can tell you with some confidence I could NEVER remember how to spell the name. What's his nickname? Ramy? Various individuals from the COF, RF militia group did INDEED attack the MA(=mostly assimilators). We struck fast and heavy. And, we have claimed victory in this small battle. Now we must wait for the smoke to clear to make our next battle plan. We have all rendezvoused w/Matthew at a secret location to further discuss our next hit. If you are strong and willing and can find us, we may need your help.... Why do pictures always depict GOD as an older gentleman? I would like to think HE looks like Norm McDonald and speaks with the same biting sarcasm. I know Markus and others here would rather have their GOD resemble Craig "Every Woman Wants Me" Kilbourn. Such is America though... I was watching Jerry today. Gots mees thinkin'. We should call the hotline, give them all the names of the MA people and have them do a show and we can watch all the kiddies beat the shit out of each other and we would rule once again (not that we aren't close to our objective now!). Sandi is moving to Alaska to find herself and live in a van and then journey with her guitar to California coffee shops and be discovered. And we can say we all knew her when she was drunk and struggling to find her way to the Ben Folds Five concert and find time to post to the RF. Good Luck Sandi. Keep in touch. Plug that laptop into the cigarette lighter of the van. And don't forget to go through Seattle on your way down the coast and see Markus. It is a meeting which MUST take place. It might be hard to catch up with him, as Sinforosa will be opening for PJ all over the country (and Robert will be guesting on bass for PJ for part of the tour as Ben and Darren work on a techno-pop project with Hanson)....we love you Sandi! And to not exclude Anne, she will be Sinforasa's tour manager, setting all us RF-ers up with backstage passes, free booze, and plenty of sex with members of the band (as good groupies will do)...or members of the road crew. We cannot be picky! And to end this post on an even more vulgar note.... If you visit http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/1094/sheet.html you will find the first of my BFF sheet music offerings to the internet community. enjoy! oh, and does anybody know if you can post to the MA (=Morgan fairchild Annoys me in those old navy ads) (?) without actually subscribing to it? that information would be really useful to me, since I SO don't want to subscribe and have that fat load of e-mail lard slopped into my mailbox, bloating my desktop, every damn day. thanks! :) - -Hannah - ------------------------------------------ Hannah Kuhlmann - kuhl0025@tc.umn.edu **FLASHY BEN FOLDS FIVE WEBSITE** AT http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/1094/ - ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 03 Jun 1998 21:16:48 -0500 From: "Scott A. A few people mentioned the "Brick techno song" -- if anyone is interested, I made an MP3 of it that I can send out (or you can ask Hannah-- she's got a faster net connection than I do [ain't it nice of me to volunteer you for things, Hannah?]). It's definately something for amusement purposes at least. What's with all the sarcastic posts on the armchair from you guys? I LOVE em! :) hehe Was this planned? Does anyone even remember who I am? hehe << found this Brick CD single that has a live version of Missing the War on it. Great recording, beautiful board and audience mix. Anybody else snagged this yet?>> Yep, I got mine for $8 though, I think. Also, I have an extra copy of the single BOWCCL, anyone care to trade?? <> Got it too. I love em! And I have to thank my fellow Fjordians for recomending them. My roommate calls it "Lauren's hippy music" and refuses to listen to it. I just play it louder. :) ANNE: I've been having these dreams lately where no matter what's going on in the dream, all of a sudden I'm in an elevator and it goes out of control and then gets stuck between floors. Last night I was kick'n it in Hawaii and I had to get something in my hotel room and I before I could stop myself, I went in the elevator. But this time I escaped when it got stuck. The other times I just woke up. I'm moving to London soon. Maybe I'm a bit nervous. Do you have any other interpretations? :) - -Lauren ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Jun 1998 01:00:40 EDT From: Lennonita@aol.com Subject: The inevitable backlash... Muses about the inane responses to the Files-laden MA (majorly ambivalent) that I just can't post to the MA itself for fear of flaming: I have an overwhelming desire to flame POWRPOPGRL (nice sn, there...that explains a lot) for believing that the "Robert on Jerry Springer" thing was real. Same for Brad654 for bitching at Markus. Same for Ray for actually going to the dictionary to look up "Annebling" and again bitching at Markus. (Is Markusian humor an acquired taste or something? because lots of people seem to have taken his post as an opportunity to get all huffy.) Props to Aaron (Pyser98) for figuring out that all y'all communicated and planned the mass ambush; anti-props for getting snivelly about it. Insane props to rICH. I've always liked him. Same to Elizabeth something or other and Steve Deame. I felt like sharing that with someone. I knew you'd all understand. Bentent-free and sanitized for your protection...
