Top 10. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 9 May 1998 20:25:22 EDT From: FieryLox Subject: Take This Waltz... The subject comes from a Leonard Cohen song...today I was in the car with a friend and she was flipping through my CD collection and she saw Cohen and started freaking out...turns out her father is a music (oh, what's that word?!?!?) person, he was a DJ in Korea (she's Korean), and he likes Marianne Faithfull. So we were listening to Leonard Cohen and talking about how we're going to room together next year at University Of Georgia (go dawgs!) and neither one of us have prom dates. And we're both going to the BEN FOLDS FIVE CONCERT HERE IN ATLANTA!!!!!!!! Ack! I'm so excited! I'm bringing a posse...see, I've gotten my little sister and her best friend and about ten other people from school into BFF, and they're all going to buy tickets! I'm so happy I could just...I can't even say! Well, as for prom...I thought I was the only one who went to prom with my gay friends! Go Meg! Although I'm thoroughly unhappy with my best (gay) friend who was SUPPOSED to go with me this year. My prom is on Saturday (as in NEXT Saturday) and on Tuesday I called him to confirm that he could go and told him to call me if there was a problem and he couldn't go...so all week I waited for "the eternal canceller" to call me and distribute the bad news. So he doesn't call and I'm pretty glad...then TODAY I called him just to DOUBLE check, and he tells me he can't go because he's got some project to do. I yell, we fight, blah, blah, blah. So my big prom story is I'm NOT GOING to prom. This year, anyway. But I went with him last year and we had a fairly good time. No stories of note! I just wanted to vent! Does anyone else on the Files enjoy the fine stylings of the band Squeeze? I bought "Singles 45's and Under" about a year ago, but JUST started listening to it, and I love it. Every song, especially "Tempted". My little sister loves "Cool For Cats", but can't figure out the Cockney accented lyrics. Well, AP tests call! (Loudly, in a very annoying tone, they call) Toodles! Hello Ok so I haven't posted a real post in awhile(or at least I think I haven't....I think I am slowly getting senile)...but anywhichway all this talk about prom has me thinking....should I go to mine?(it's in a year...guess away at the age!!!)...I have already told most of my firends that I refuse to go to prom because it's a just a big excuse for people to get dressed up and sit down to dinner(that and I can think of spending 300 dollars better ways).....or am I wrong??? sitting and thinking ralph _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
