TV BFF Fineeto! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 6 May 1998 08:12:10 -0400 From: Anne Lyons Subject: Life is Good. Hey all! Welp... since I shared my frustrations on this list, I might as well share the triumphs! I am leaving my job at the end of June, if not earlier! Yippee! I am so psyched! The job was making me physically ill from all the stress... and I didn't even like what I was doing... hence, the decision not to renew my contract. (For those of you who know me better... the job was misrepresented when I took it... it was *not* what I thought it was going to be.) So anyhoo -- I've got no job lined up yet... so I'm thinkin' of becoming a roadie for BFF, whaddya think? Eric: We've missed you (well, at least *I* have)! Just to prove it... Hail Eris! Kate: That's right, I forgot that cable infrastructure is not at all prevalent in Oz! And how do I know this, you ask? Well, I once spent about a month doing a 100 page worldwide marketing analysis* of cable industry (including three days of no sleep at the end of the month while I finished the analysis* while on the road at a trade show in Florida). One of the things we analyzed* was the percentage of cable structure of many countries - -- including Australia. Why the hell was I doing this, you ask? Well... we were rolling out a new cable modem marketing campaign at the time... Not that you all care... I just thought Kate might be interested. That's all for now, I guess... - -Anne * These were not Annealyses because this was actually a published document. *grin* ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 May 1998 16:42:26 -0700 (PDT) From: ralph kyatsu Subject: TV BFF Ok so I was sitting at the computer witht he TV on in the backround....it was Clueless(ok so I kinda half watch it, but then again which male wouldn;t = ))and guess what do I hear!...none other than BFF siniging Battle of Who Could Care less....pretty cool huh? later _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Ah as of this afternoon I am done with this crazy semester of mine! Everyone else who is done I throw a high-five at ya'll! But now I have only just begun. 10,000 is a big number, and well when I have to make 10,000 copies of a video by May 21st I almost wish I still had classes to go to so I didn't have to work 12 hour days. But enough of my ramblings here. For all of you seeing BFF shows soon, have a blast! I have mine on the May 26th, and have a small BENvent (as opposed to advent) chain next to my bed to count down the days! I just can't wait. Of the filers who have already experienced the boys this tour, any new songs? I am sure you would have clammored on the files as soon as you got home to tell us, but perhaps I just missed it. Oh and Hannah, glad to hear it all got to you in one piece, like my little tape case art... see what I do with my free time. Here is my one bit on Bentent: Now everyone has gone all around about the meaning of BRICK, but my story has an odd coincidence. I was driving to the mall with my mom on one of our mother-daughter days, and I had to change the oldies station! Turned it to the local "alternative" station and there was BRICK, I was about to change it (I love the song, but appreciate it more when I just hear it at home when I am in the mood) and my mom stops me... She says I like this, so we leave it and at the end I tell her it's BFF, the band that I am as giggly as a school girl over... Then I ask her what she thought the song was about, she goes on to say EXACTLY what I thought the song was about the first time I heard it. (Kids breaking up because they need to, they are just in a relationship for all the wrong reasons.) So perhaps the interpretation of BFF songs is a genetic trait! Who knows! ~Keep it real!~ Amanda ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V1 #114 *********************************
