This list is so much... hmmm...easier...yeah easier to read then the Armchair. What I'm trying to say is, I don't go insane when I read the rockford files! :) I like the posts, I like the people. Thanks Erik. Damn, I sound like a friggin bank commercial. hehe I'm also happy because I'm going to TWO BFF shows in a row! TWO in a row, for free! ( birthday on Friday, friends bought me tickets, I think I mentioned it on the armchair, blah blah blah) To some of you that's not a big deal, but I'm a poor college student and it thrills me! :) Also, I just found a record store with a ton of BFF singles I was looking for, including the British single, Where's Summer B. Oh happy day! - -Lauren P.S am I corny today or what? "oh happy day"?? :) hehe ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Apr 1998 02:12:04 PST From: "Kel Lane" Subject: SFTD airplay Anne - you sure can anneble (that was a play of words on *ramble* and *anne* for those of you who are a *little* slow =-} ) > But seriously, >all I wanted to ask was if SFTD was getting any play in your areas... The other day, I requested *it* on an *alternative* station down here (JJJ - I'm sure you've all heard of it), and they played it without any bleeps. And it was played at about 8:00pm on a weeknight...if that matters at all. So, um, it's only been played once on JJJ, to *my* knowledge... Oh yeah - and Anne - I have a dream, but I don't want you to annealyse it because I don't want anyone to find out that I'm a psyco...but then again, I guess it's no secret... Time for* my* medication, ~*Kel*~ *P.S.* does anyone else have a slight obsession with *'s? Ben sent me a bunch of emails and they were mostly non-related. But un the last email, it was like I was reading it, but he was also there, sitting in a chair (non-magical) and reading the note with me. But in the note, he said the next album would be very similar to the music he has been writing. However, he was going to write it all without any sharps. Then he got a smug face (cause he knows I play piano and guitar) and says, "SO, do *you* think you can do any *better??*" - -Fin What a smug bastard... Of COURSE..... I..... can......NOT...... he knows that, but rubs it in my face, during a dream no less, anyway.... I'll that Ben Folds someday, I swear it... curses.... So, Anne-alysis is in affect.... HEY, the radio station played sftd today... I swear! I heard it in my car... even if it *was* *my* personal radio station...(slow people...my CD) *let's* *see* *if* *I* *can* *possibly* *use* *more* ******'s.... heh heh... With all this dreaming going on, I feel like the RF is a surrealist litmag... Cool... I had one during a hard nap* yesterday in which I was a worker in a park. My job was to walk around the paths and ensure that the benches and trashcans were "ergonomically sound," so people running around a corner wouldn't run into them, etc. and so they would maximize the seating areas and viewing spaces in the park. What a dumb job! On a lighter note, Carrie has been feeling really good about herself because her choir director offered her a chance to get paid large sums of money plus lodging for staying in Cleveland 3 extra days past finals to sing the alto solos in a performance of Mozart's Requiem with some noted Cleveland vocalists. (Carrie speaks in 3rd person so it doesn't sound like she's boasting... She's just happy, OK??) Actually, I'm not all that great, but I think the water here raises women's voices or something. There ain't a true alto to be found within city limits. On a darker note, I have to get a 140% on my Chem test today to be passing the class. I suck. I should study. Has anyone else noticed the disturbing lack of KS/MO/anywhere-roadtrippable dates on this tour?? The guys even say their shows in Lawrence tend to be really extra-super-good! I am saddened. *sigh* They play Cleveland just about a month after I go home. Ka = ([H3O+][A-])/[HA] = Kw/Kb = pH - log [A-]/[HA] Have a good'un, all. Carrie * Hard nap: One of those naps in which you wake up every 15 minutes convinced you've slept on into the next day, missed work/class altogether, but fall back asleep anyway. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Apr 1998 14:20:11 -0500 (EST) From: Ginger Nance Subject: center cityfest I was looking at the Center Cityfest web page today, and I'm so excited about the 4/26 show now!
