First off there was the genius idea of a Forum in which people post me messages which I put on the page and - viola! Page gets updated almost everyday and I get the image that I work hard. However my thirst for visitor input grows and so I have launched yet another venture for which I need YOU (imagine pointy finger war dude looking at you from a strangely garish poster). Yup, The Contributors Corner is the Readers Wives of the page - I want you to send me any contributions you have a desperate urge to show to the casual eye - dreams you had, poems-stories about the band, mis-interpreted lyrics, artwork, graphics etc etc the list has no bounds. So boys and girls, get scribbling... See y'all (note similar openings and endings - can't tell I'm a film student can you?) Actually, I just wanted to take a moment to publicly humiliate...no, congratulate Em on her new job. Don't forget who told you the important stuff! On that note, I'll give you some important advice from a Kimberly-Clark box...there's a wiper for every need! Markus ------------------------------ Date: 31 Mar 98 10:35:02 -0500 From: Chris Short Subject: First time caller, long time listener... Hello, all.... I've been lurking for a few weeks now, but I feel the need to speak my mind. I've been on the MA for a while, but I'm getting sick of all of the repeated posts. Yesterday people were responding to the question "Why BF Five, not Three?" and someone else mentioned that they had heard Brick on the radio for the first time. I like your format here (on the 'Files), but I was wondering, is there a BFF list that picks anything remotely relevent from the 'Armchair and removes all the crap? Sorry to be so pessimistic in my first post... Any other Canucks on this list? Officer Friendly's little boy... Chris. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Mar 1998 13:35:59 -0500 From: Anne Lyons Subject: Annealyses... Hey all! Dream interpretation: the Doctor is In. Well, maybe not a doctor... more like an RN. Yeah, yeah... OK... you're right... maybe more like a nurse practitioner. Fine, fine... whatever! So just a candy striper. Or a patient. But I digress. Kate: Sounds like your dream has something to do with self-esteem... you got up and showed off your talent only after someone selected you to be there... and you also need assistance from Ben before you were able to perform. But once you did perform -- you rocked the house down (prompting Ben & Rob to even congratulate you). So it's probably got something to do with you knowing your own worth, but feeling as if *you* * shouldn't have to put yourself on display -- others should recognize your talents and give you the arena to showcase yourself. Or it was the late night McDonald's and it doesn't mean anything at all... Carrie: Tandem dreams with roommates... hmmmmm... I'll need more information, I think! Las Vegasers: I'm jealous. And finally... BFF is playing the Kissfest or whatever in Boston. Which is interesting. Kiss 108 is the bubblegum station in Boston. As I said... interesting. Fascinating, really. I mean... this might be my chance to see all my fave** groups: BFF, Usher, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Hanson, etc. I mean, like, I am totally super-pumped for Kissfest! You guys will just have to be real jealous of me when you read about me in TigerBeat. Later. - -Anne *For the record, the asterisks around "you" are meant to show emphasis, not secretiveness... **Here, I am using the word "fave" as in C. Thomas Howell is my fave actor of all time... ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Mar 1998 14:56:32 From: "Hannah Kuhlmann" Subject: raindrops keep fallin' on my head. . . is Amy (PSYCHOPAF@aol.com) on this list? if so. . .I mailed your photos, but your e-mail doesn't work so just sit tight till they come to ya. :) I'm back from break, in any case, so HI everybody. Amanda, e-mail me again, willya? And tell me what the heck our trade was, because I can't find your e-mails and I've forgotten. Everybody come to Edge Fest to see BFF this may! (It's the tour dates listed as Minneapolis. . .but really in Somerset Wisc.) I have very little idea how to get tickets unless you're in MN, but hey, try anyway so you can have fun watching BFF and Motley Crue perform at the same venue on the same weekend. ROCKER TOMMY LEE! It's gonna be so cool. . . :D and that's it. OH! And my limited edition Sinforosa tape is a delightful listening treat! thanks, Marcus. - -Hannah - ------------------------------------------ Hannah Kuhlmann - kuhl0025@tc.umn.edu **FLASHY BEN FOLDS FIVE WEBSITE** AT http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/1094/ - ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Mar 1998 15:36:01 PST From: "Kel Lane" Subject: Just some BENting *WARNING - some BENting ahead* Okay. Firstly, I have to say how tired I am because we had this concerto concert last night, and we didn't finish until 10:30pm. THEN, I find out that my Biol teacher was there, watching me play... Afterwards, he started to talk for AGES about how impressive the concert was, and how he didn't know that "we have some of the best musicians right here"...and some other stuff that I paid *heaps* of attention to...not... THEN, I found out that I had a quartet rehersal at 7:30AM the next morning. Yes. 7:30 AM. That meant that I had approx. 6 hours to sleep...which put heaps of pressure on me to actually go to sleep...which, doesn't help at all. Okay. So I get to school just at 7:35, and no one else is there. I wait around until 8:10AM, and noone turns up (meanwhile I'm playing BFF over and over and over until the damn piano gives way to keep me occupied). Anyway, so basically, I'm stressed because we have another concert in 6 days, and we are by no way ready for it, I am tired because of lack of sleep (duh), and I am at school...so everyone feel pity for me. Anyway, that's enough BENting for now...now for some BENtent... Uhhhhhh...why don't we have the conBENtion down here? In Melbourne? In Australia? Markus can fly you all over...can't ya M? But I do guess it would be a good idea for the guys to come over here too... Don't think that that was BENtent hey? well, as some other guys says, well, you know where to stick it... ~Kel Oh yeah - Kate - Anne does most of the Annelysing here =-D ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V1 #71 ********************************
