Hi all! It's been a little while since I posted last... but things have been a bit crazy around here. I actually should be doing something else right now... but since this is the only way I've been able to keep in touch with some of you, I thought I would at least make the attempt. So there is snow on the ground again... it arrived just on the first day of spring. Typical New England, huh? But it is in the upper 40's right now, so I have hope! I'm getting psyched for some warm weather, though... golf&swimming&boating&softball&bbqs&thebeach&everything! For my Bentent... had an *extremely* vivid BFF dream on Saturday... like vivid enough for me to wake up still believing it was true! Of course it wasn't... but it was nice to be in that haze for a while. As to the actual content of the dream... well, I'm-a just gonna keep that to myself. I have already Annealyzed it, and no good will come of me sharing that Annealysis with all of you. Maybe, just maybe, I'll tell you privately... if you are *really* good. Geting psyched for more BFF tour dates as well... here's a wish that the New England swing spans a weekend! Well... that's all the post that's fit to print! Happy spring, everybody! - -Anne P.S. Is Sandi on her spring break? Maybe that's why she hasn't posted... But soon, oh-so soon... she'll be back, won't she??? *grin* In the CD changer: Liz Phair -- whip-smart They Might Be Giants -- Flood Beck -- Odelay Luscious Jackson -- Fever In Fever Out Meat Puppets - Too High To Die (It was an eclectic weekend!) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Mar 1998 09:26:04 -0500 (EST) From: Some Young Punk Subject: Gojira!!! In case you didn't know, that's the original Japanese spelling for Godzilla. I just think it completely kicks ass that the Boys are gonna be on the soundtrack for the new Gojira movie. Anyone want to take even odds that the song's going to be SfTD? Actually, I've heard it's a new track, so it might just be a lead in to a new album. (Hope beyond hope, dream beyond dreams) Anyway, I'm sorry about your car wreck, Amanda. I hope you feel better soon. Does this mean you're not coming to my party? I hope it doesn't. Anyway, rest up feel better, and I'll talk to you later. Hail Eris! I totaled a car (by smashing it into two trees and completely dislodging the rear wheel axle) about two years ago driving too fast on snow... hope everything with you is still okay! On an odd coincidence note-- leaving my at-the-time only BFF bootleg in the car after the aforementioned car crash caused a loss on my part. Watch out for those sneaky towing/garage guys. Chances are they'll dub Motley Crue over your precious boot... Not much to mention as far as Bentent or otherwise; just haven't posted in a while and it seemed like the right thing to do. Of course, it'll come w/a pay cut (confused? Me, too!) but it's still a good thing. I must point out, however, that Boeing will be cutting 20,000 jobs this year, not 6,000. They had originally announced 12,000 but then announced 8,000 more last week. However, most of those will fall under the old-persons' umbrella of "Attrition" (early retirement), that great spring-cleaning tool, & primarily will affect former McDonnell/Douglas employees. I think the absence of Sandisms is due to her Spring Break status. Wasn't Mtv sending a crew to NC for Spring Break this year? Well, if not, they should've. I hear plastic pants & Guns 'n' Roses shirts abound there this time o' year! Well, off to fight for my cube-mate's early retirement. "Gee, Fran, you sure look tired! Don't you think that "attrition" thing sounds pretty kewl?!" Of course, for her 'twould not be "early"!!!
