Wel, I guess it wasn't your fault. Just your subconscious messing with you. ;) Anyway, this goes out to all the BFF fans in the Midwest area. On the 28th of this month, I'm throwing one of the hugest parties of all time. It's our 2nd annual Casino Night. It's semi-formal, and we have Roulette wheels, craps, poker and blackjack tables, champagne, exotic drinks and people, dancing, and most importantly, me. ;) There's a $13 dollar cover (I know, I know, but the party is actually a fundrasier in disguise. Don't tell anyone. ;> ) but I swear to you on my autographed BFF poster, it will be the best college party you've ever attended. If you're interested, just drop me an e-mail and I'll give you the address. People are more than welcome to crash at my house (It's really big. Seven bedrooms, basement and attic.) or, for those of the feminine persuasion, I live with 6 other great guys, four of them being single. Anyway, that's enough out of me. Laters all! Hail Eris! In my massive vault of fonts, the font "Virgin" falls right in between the fonts "Violation" & "Virtue". So I guess, by that twist of alphabetical fate, all that lies between one's virtue & violation of said virtue is one's virginity. Suppose that's true enough. Oh, and when our CD comes out, pay close attention to the song order-there is meaning to it. What the heck-fire, E? Mosely-Braun lost? Can't you Illini do anything right? For the 1st time in 8 billion years, you've given yet another seat to the not-so-moderately-conservative moderate conservatives. I'm reminded 1ce again why I left the Midworst. Well, looks like I won't be moving to Chicago anytime soon. Not that I was planning on it anyway! Well, E, grab your concealed weapon (not that 1, you pervert, your GUN) & head to the abortion clinics-it's baby-doc season in Illinois!!! I don't need Fitz in office to carry a gun. I just stuff it next to the other gun I walk around with daily.... #2. At least I don't live somewhere where it rain 200 days out of the year. I don't need Fitz in office to carry a gun. I just stuff it next to the other >gun I walk around with daily.... Trying to make the wee waterpistol look more formidable, eh, Erik? That's really all I have to say for now. *sigh* I'm boring. Listening to Belle and Sebastian, then Donovan Leitch, then Belle and Sebastian, then Donovan Leitch, and can't tell the frikkin difference between the voice, other than that DL's is a bit stronger.... My mom says B&S should have to pay copyright. Carrie "...all the gods aplay in the mythological dramas, and all legends from all lands were from fair Atlantis..." ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Mar 1998 13:24:25 EST From: F2G 2 Subject: a week, chock full of mondays. so anyhow, i've already worked 42 hours this week at the microbrewery, and it's only thursday. i realized sometime in the haze that was yesterday that i was working too much. reality seemed very far from me AND surreal all at once. walking through dali's little world......if my car starts to melt, i'll be most upset. the only friends i've seen in the last 3 weeks have been ones i work with. all the rest have fallen by the wayside..... so at 8.15 last night, on the down end of the double shift, i notice: my wallet is gone. i lost it sometime around lunch yesterday and some fucker had already used the charge cards in there by the time i got home at nine. makes me want to kill, kill, KILL! (arlo guthrie reference, sorry.) i haven't even bored you folks w/my monotone in over a week. mail is piling up in my box..... okay. bentent. ~concert dates? we all seem to be talking about superdrag (pretty cool band) opening for them. opening for them where? and when? i haven't gotten any info on it.....what do you freaks know that i don't? ~i'm jealous of all you bacharach tribute goers. ~words of wisdom on the fear of pop release? to my knowledge it is supposed to be due out this upcoming summer.......... ~sandi and markus. behave. or solve matters in the form of a mud-wrestling tourney. you 2 bickering briefly made our list seem like a high-tension, unpleasant OTHER list that many of us used to be long standing members of. it caused me stress and i was just reading it, not even a participent. "say no more, say no more." ~hannah: my mr. pete belasco cd just came in. unfortunately, i will not have time to get it til saturday (or maybe between the double on friday) so......your tape is postponed at the moment. i swear before god and the next conbention, you will recieve the matthew flava mix. if i take too much longer, i'll make you 2 to relieve my terrible feelings of guilt. fair? ~Benstock? you're not right in the head, oh fearless one. at any rate, i'm there......just to make sure they play twin falls and coolwhip live. dammit. and you, sir, get a nickel for the word adipose. ~euchre is the best. i have lived in various spots in our great nation and the midwest seems to be the only area that has it.......like a regional affliction. ~anne. i had a dream last night where, in the hotel in chicago, i physically attacked edgar. you and ms. carrie just sat there with these knowing looks on your faces, perhaps thinking he deserved it. you didn't seem shocked at all...... smile. matthew ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Mar 1998 15:33:07 -0600 From: "Erik C. Lyons" Subject: Well, because this *IS* a BF5 list...... I feel it is my duty to inform the uniformed of BF5's movement of Brick on *the* music chat, BILLBOARD. First the positions: #12 Modern #47 Top 200 albums Now for the commentary..... Brick is ahead of 3rdEyeBlind on the Modern Chart, yet, Brick shows up NO WHERE on the Top 50 singles where 3eB maintains a top 20 spot. Is Brick *that* alternative/modern? Plus, their CD moves up 6 spots. Are radio stations that bizarre to not play BF5? I know Steve C. may have a view on this, as I don't claim to know jack on the topic of airplay, except that the playlists are chosen by idiots (PD's) for the most part... Enough. Brick is slowly drowning..... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Mar 1998 17:24:48 -0500 From: Amanda McClintock Subject: BENstock BENstock, Erik, everyone, lets do it! It could be like a sick and twisted family reunion. Complete with everyone wearing the same color T-shirt and all the signs guidning us through the park. If we can't get the boys to perform we'd just have Sinforosa and Motel Art cover all the BFF songs. We'd all have to bring our uncle Walters to sit around in wife beater tank tops sweating and drinking in the sun. LOL, the more I think about my last family reunion I think that perhaps not! Now for any of you other kids out there in a band! I say use the Rockfordfiles to your advantage! Markus and I did and now, well, and now all the Filers know about us. No CD deal but a small bit of fame. Amanda It's all in who you know! ------------------------------ End of The Rockford Files V1 #59 ********************************
