The RFs were set up originally in December 1997. With the increase of
subscribers and the amount of time it takes to run a fan list, the RFs were
turned over to this server here at smoe.org in March 1998. 

Brief History of the RFs:
With the increase in the popularity of BF5, the number of subscribers on the
Magical Armchair, the original fan-based maillist, was beginning to bulge
and there was a fair amount of bickering. This list is not meant to compete
with the Armchair, but rather offer an outlet to those of us who appreciate
BF5 from years past and wish to trade stories, tales and other related OR
*and this is important* UNrelated BF5 material. 

Here at the RFs we are a happy little family. We encourage free-flowing
posts. Speak of your day, your life, you mom, your dad, or your problems.
We don't talk about Brick, or many other songs which have been discussed
ad nauseum. However, we do speak of funny stories that SOMEHOW
relate to BF5 in SOMEWAY. But just remember that we do not offend
anyone here. It will not be tolerated.

As a new subscriber, sit back and read a few issues to get the feel for the
RFs. You will quickly see the pattern of queer behavior which makes us, as
a group, a bunch of crazies. But in a good way.

We converged together as a group during the February 1998 swing of a
BF5 tour. It was a huge success. We plan on MANY more get-togethers of
this nature.

RFs. You can see how we evolved into this list.
