A lot of V2 I'm not very fond of, I'd have preferred if they'd done it differently. There's nothing wrong with the songs, it's more the way they've decided to make them sound, and it's still fun to hear them live 'cos they turn out a little differently. Their version of Thirteen is pretty poor IMHO. No big deal 'cos it's not even on the album and they have bags of better tunes to play at gigs (that they may disagree with me is no problem 99.9% of the time 'cos I'm not there). I'd rather hear Shirley sing than preach stuff I've heard before. Is there something wrong with that? "Duke is too old for the job" is putting words into my mouth and I can't be bothered with that discussion any more. There you have misunderstood me, and I can certainly live with that if you can. > BTW Shame about the nice weather at Reading - I bet you're only happy > when it rains.... :-) > I'm happy either way. I'd spend longer in the sunshine if there was more of it.
