Not final. They're doing a world tour up through the end of 1999, there are still plenty of dates to be announced. I am so irritated by all the posts in every single Garbage forum I read asking about the tour dates, over and over ;P ;> > also surprised to see the relatively small venues...i would think garbage > at this point could fill something bigger, perhaps play full-sized > arenas(like key arena in seattle or san jose arena in san jose)...not > filled to the brim, but a nice turnout of 14,000 to 17,000 or so...i'm not > quite sure of the sizes of these venues, but i don't think they're too > big...any idea on the mammoth centre in denver, josh ? No way! I don't wanna see them in arenas that big!! I'm glad they decided to play bigger places but not *so* big. Even Tori Amos hasn't been able to fill places that big, and she's well known for her fans... > and the california dates...weird...two l.a. dates and one date out in > riverside ?! realistically, someone living in l.a. could see garbage three > times(both l.a. dates, riverside, which is 58 miles east)...and if they Not so realistic for getting to all 3 when KROQ always takes all the tickets ::P ;( > really wanted, they could go to the la jolla one(about 120 miles > southeast), the bakersfield one(112 miles to the north) and the santa > barbara one(92 miles northwest)...so yeah, i mean, why not give a few > shows to places who don't have 'em ? i doubt anyone would actually see > them six times, but you really could if you wanted...why not give san Well, Bill Shaw who does the concert chronology is seeing 6 and possibly seven shows on the west coast... Definitely look for more shows moving east... after New Mexico probably Texas then through the southeast and up the coast into new england maybe finishing somewhere aroung madison?? I'm just speculating... anyway About going to multiple shows I'll be one of the few doing a range of them: Salem, Davis, San Jose, Hollywood, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, and hopefully finishing off with Las Vegas... http://www.jps.net/garbage/ - -- - -Bill ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 13:54:54 -0700 From: Bill Shaw Subject: Re: Garbage, Crystal Method rock Our Lady Peace's Summersault > oh and how does 'Stupid Girl' sound w/'Groove Is In The > Heart' and 'Wannabe' thrown in ? You wouldn't be the first. I LOVE live music, and have been going to concerts as long as I can remember. My parents used to take me to concerts and festivals way back when I was just a tot, and eventually when I started liking my own kinds of music I just kept going to see the bands that I liked. But when I see Garbage in concert, it's an experience unlike any other. Shirley and the band put me into a trance, and I get this feeling like something really special is happening. Something special *is* happening! There is a chemistry on stage that doesn't exist amoung very many bands these days. Normally I don't go out of my way to see a band [more than once] that plays virtually the same show night after night. But I will do that for Garbage because even though I might know what song is gonna come next, I don't know how the show itself if going to be. And maybe I'll be there when they do actually play something unusual, like Supernatural or something. (I doubt that will happen on this tour but ya never know!). So anyway call me crazy but either way I'll be at as many of the concerts as I can possibly be at. Garbage is cool. I like Garbage. - -- - -Bill ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 15:37:20 PDT From: "~sallie ~" Subject: tours and such i must write as i sit here at my computer and think to myself...."must be nice to live on the west coast where all their freakin shows seem to be!" us easterners have it bad....and i'm not flying ot arizona or california just to see a show...no way dude! i just have to say...must be nice! don't ya think? i expect a full report! haha gritting my teeth.... ~sal~ ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 17:45:54 -0600 (MDT) From: Josh Nadler Subject: Re: North American Tour Dates Announced > big...any idea on the mammoth centre in denver, josh ?
