I don't really think it should be that hard to find...and if I may chime in, I've never really listened to the cd much, it didn't really impress me... kev http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Marina/6273/index.html np: On Her Majesty's Secret Service by the Propellerheads on Decksandrumsandrockandroll 'The place is quiet & so alone Pretend there's something worth waiting for' -Manic Street Preachers ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 17:26:42 -0400 From: "kevin" Subject: Version 2.0 internet preorder I've never tried to pre-order(or order in that case) anything over the internet, but i got this in the mail saying that if you pre-ordered from the website Music Boulevard, the cd would be at your door the day it's released and they had it for some special sale price...i haven't checked out the price myself, but i thought some of you might be interested...i know they offered a $3 discount for pre-ordering Pulp's This Is Hardcore, so hopefully Version 2.0 will have a similar discount... the url is: http://www.musicblvd.com/cgi-bin/tw/1629_43_497761^S&FS=RTMB&RTS=3 and the release date is May 12th, if any of you have forgotten... kev http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Marina/6273/index.html np: Cominagetcha by the Propellerheads on Decksandrumsandrockandroll 'The place is quiet & so alone Pretend there's something worth waiting for' -Manic Street Preachers ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 14:51:48 PDT From: "* sallie *" Subject: tori amos concert (not garbage) Hi. you can yell at me later but i just have to say that i saw a great concert last night!!! i have no one better to tell than my friends here, so please excuse me. here goes...tori amos is doing this sneak preview show before her new album is released and my best friend and i got tickets. i'm not sure if you have ever been to a concert where they give out vouchers then make you exchange them for tickets the day of the show. it's a big pain in the a@* but well worth it. we waited SEVEN hours the saturday before easter to get vouchers. By 5:40am there were already 303 people in line in front of us and i bet a thousand more came after us. needless to say, not everyone got tickets. i felt really bad for the people who stood outside for hours and didn't get them but i got lucky and got tickets! anyways, so after waiting for hours again, you have to sign your name and show id to get your voucher and bring your id to the show with you. this prevents scalpers and such from buying tickets i guess. plus, only 2 tickets per person were sold. everyone waited outside and when they opened the doors to the show you had to show them id and all because they didn't exchange them before the show as planned. it took a long time but in the end only the people who really wanted to be there got in cause no one else would take the time to wait and all. i heard that this was tori's idea to do it this way. oh, did i mention i got her autograph??? yep i did. so david poe opened up for her and he was funny but put me to sleep. (btw, has anyone ever heard him?) tori came out and sang for 2 hours and it was great. i love going to concerts. it's such a rush to see a performer sing right in front of you! When garbage came to the tla theater in phila i got closer to the stage. shirley was great but the crowd was a bunch of stick in the mud (not like last night). and i couldn't stay to meet her after the concert. i was so dissappointed!! lots of autographs adn pictures were taken there. just a lesson. never leave till the band leaves!! (just kidding) well, now that i have prob bored you, i just had to tell you all. thanks for listening. i'm going to scan a few things in on my page if you wanna look at them but give me a few days or so. let me know if anyone else is going to the tori show. i'm going back this summer. and it goes without saying that i'll be waiting in line for garbage tickets too! maybe i'll see you there... c-ya later, sallie ps. the set list is at http://www.tori.com if you're interested! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 16:00:28 -0600 (MDT) From: Josh Nadler Subject: Re: Version 2.0 internet preorder Just to add to that, you can pre-order from CD Now also. it's at www.cdnow.com No info on discounts though Josh }|-)> On Mon, 27 Apr 1998, kevin wrote: > > I've never tried to pre-order(or order in that case) anything over the > internet, but i got this in the mail saying that if you pre-ordered from > the website Music Boulevard, the cd would be at your door the day it's > released and they had it for some special sale price...i haven't checked > out the price myself, but i thought some of you might be interested...i > know they offered a $3 discount for pre-ordering Pulp's This Is Hardcore, > so hopefully Version 2.0 will have a similar discount... > > the url is: > > http://www.musicblvd.com/cgi-bin/tw/1629_43_497761^S&FS=RTMB&RTS=3 > > and the release date is May 12th, if any of you have forgotten... > > kev > http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Marina/6273/index.html > np: Cominagetcha by the Propellerheads on Decksandrumsandrockandroll > > 'The place is quiet & so alone > Pretend there's something worth waiting for' > -Manic Street Preachers > ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 23:46:15 +0100 From: Shirley Manson Subject: Angelfish > I'm dying to get hold of the Angelfish album - anyone know of anywhere > I > can get it?? > You can order it from CD Now on the Net, that's where I got my copy from, but I found it in Virgin aswell, I only bought it from CD Now becasue it worked out slightly cheaper...and it's quick getting over here too!
