I heard they have plans to have Shirley Manson (or Shrilly Mansion as my 'puter at home would have it) co-hosting a show with regular DJ Paul Anderson sometime in the future. If anybody hears any more about this can they please tell me about it as I'm not likely to hear up here in Sheffield, and I'd like to see if I can possibley get a tape of it. (It's 104.9 FM if you don't know, and officially launches next monday I think) Is it just me or does Juliette Lewis really remind you of Shirley? I have no idea why, I suppose they look a little alike... Ok, that's all I can think of for now. Cheers, Dan. np: Bentley Rhythm Ace - Bentley's gonna sort you out. Oh, you should all go out and buy The Sundays new single when it comes out too!! (except for kevin chan:) anyway, this is my feeble attempt to get the traffic flowing again.. i remember a really neat thread that lasted only a few messages. it was the one about which songs would be neat for garbage to cover.. and also (my addition), which songs of garbage's should be covered by whom? (the band doesn't have to still be in existence) (: ok, so that's that.. i can't think of any songs or bands now, so i'll just leave this an example-less question... ta-ta~ mike ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 1997 23:43:39 -0400 From: "Kevin " Subject: ngr: email changes the following two email address have been changed: From: To: trader@emarkt.com mike-e@zetnet.co.uk skittles@maine.rr.com agent99@bu.edu kevin chan http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Marina/6273/index.html np: me & you versus the world now by space on spiders ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 1997 23:32:13 -0400 From: "Kevin " Subject: Re: (((echo.. echo.. echo))) > From: teenage lobotomy > To: Recycled-Bin@smoe.org > Subject: (((echo.. echo.. echo))) > Date: 27 August 1997 17:49 > > this list sure is dead.. > (except for kevin chan:) ehhhhh....just dont put any pressure on me to respond to this, eh ? > anyway, this is my feeble attempt to get the traffic flowing again.. i > remember a really neat thread that lasted only a few messages. it was > the one about which songs would be neat for garbage to cover.. and also > (my addition), which songs of garbage's should be covered by whom? Venus by Bananarama would be really nice...i think a cover of an oldies song would be good too...can't really think of any right now though...Dancing Queen or Waterloo by ABBA would be pretty neat to be covered by Garbage too...as for something newer, I could imagine Shirl & the boys doing Kill Yr Boyfriend by Bis...can't ever see it happening though. the Pet Shop Boys definetly need to cover something by Garbage...I mean, their covers are so nifty...Where The Streets Have No Name(Can't Take My Eyes Off You) and You Are Always On My Mind, by U2/Frankie Valli and Elvis Presley respectively...They seem to change the covers that do and make em sound pretty different, so that would be really neat...some slower song would do well, and I think either A Stroke of Luck or My Lover's Box would be neat, as Milk's been all remixed already. A ska version of one or the more upbeat songs like Subhuman would be spiffy too...I think most ska bands in general could that off well... kevin chan http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Marina/6273/index.html np: does your mother know ? by abba on abba gold ------------------------------ End of recycled-bin-digest V1 #45 *********************************
