hey everyone -

i'm not sure if any of you remember me, i haven't posten in a while, cuz
i don't have much garbage info to say. my name is sharon. i'm 15 and from
massachusetts. i first fell in love with the music garbage made in the
summer of '95 or soemwhere around then. i bought the album after seeing
ohwir on mtv for the millionth time (slight exaggeration)

i'm not exacty sure when i joined teh list, but i've been on this a
while. being on the list brought out a lot of new things to me. it
introduced the ideas of b-sides and bootlegs, it introduced me to
discussing a great band, and it introduced me to a ton of cool people. i
can't count the number of friends i've made.

i'm sure no one really gives a shit about me, so i'll go on...

last night i recieved somethign from a friend i talk to off of trash
talk. maybe a few of the people who've been on this list a while will
recognize it. just reading it made me sota sad. it's something someone
posted a while ago, in "the good old days" of trash talk. i don't know
exactly how to descrive how it used to be... there's so much i could say.
i remember it as being more "fun." we didn't have stupid flames... well -
yeah, we did - that alanis one, and the shirley sex object thing, and....
i'll stop. so we did fight, we'd get over it. and we do now.

but it was more fun back then. you could post stupid forwards such as the
one below. you could express your opinions more freely, you could say
something not grabge related without the rest of the list jumping on you.

so - last night i was online talking to one of my friends, and i
commented on how the list had changed. they agreed.

well - i'm not exactly sure what i'm trying to say with this post - i
know we'll never get the list to the way it used to be. i guess my post
may be viewed by some as pointless, but i've said what i wanted to. i'm
sure someone will find something to flame me about in this, right now i
don't care (did you read my warnings?)

i guess i'll just end this post saying i'm not sure how many people share
my opinions, or how many understand my post, i hope someone did. until
teh next time.... i'd best get going. later...

guy/gal, and would most likely help you out if you had a flat tire
somewhere in the same state (or within a one or two hour radius,
depending on the size of your state). The sender of the Magical
grapefruit of Love only asks one thing of you-- (besides the
aforementioned hug) that you bequeath this Grapefruit of Love on someone
else. 

The Magical Grapefruit of Love grows in power as it is shared, and
someday you may receive this Magical Citrus Entity again.  Send it on. 
Remember the elation you felt the first time you received it?  If you
send it on, you may feel this again.  This is not a chain letter. Nothing
bad will happen to you if you don't send it on, but think of the bright
spot it might put in the day of someone you think is extra marvy.

welly, thats kinda why this list was setup and maybe it has somewhat
failed...i certainly miss the "old" trash talk too...i remember coming home
and getting email and getting all giddy in anticipation of the spiffy mail
i'd be reading soon...then the list started to suck with flames all over
and people talking about how they want to have sex w/Shirl and blah blah

welly, i don't see anything wrong with some of those old "fun" types of
posts and so forth at all...after all i sent that mailing list fwd thing
like a few months ago...most of us on this list know each other and
basically, we like each other, so i dont think anyone's gonna be flaming
anyone whatsoever...i do agree that the list prolly will never be the same,
meaning this list will never be like Trash Talk in the beginning and Trash
Talk will prolly just be the same as it is now...i guess the purpose of
this list was to provide a forum for Garbage fans to speak out...one in
which we all knew each other and there would be no dumb "shirl sex" posts
or flames...maybe we need more people i dunno...welly,
ummm...yeah...tooodles fer now

welly welly welly...i'm here on "vacation" in like Tennessee and like it
kinda sucks...actually...it ummm...just plain ole sucks...anyways!!! I do
have Garbage news or something...i was in some funky record store in
Gatlinburg, Tennessee and like found ummm...a wealth of Garbage stuff...i
purchased a Garbage patch, which was simply Garbage written in the Garbage
font...also avaliable was a big Garbage sticker...it was supposedly in the
Garbage font, but it didnt really look like it...also a small square
sticker was avaliable...it had a picture of Shirl on it & the word
"garbage" on the top...black & white....the picture is the same as on the
back on the Garbage CD...y'know, with her fingers in her mouth...also i saw
some perhaps new bootlegs...it had the VH1 performance(the song, not nudy
pics :oP) and like it had some SG remixes and Kick My Ass...i believe the
back cover was of the band in front of a Theatre...welly thats all &
stuff...
