Fischer" Subject: [pt] Neil's book for Tash Hello, I just came from Neil Gaiman's appearance in Seattle where he read us "Blueberry Girl" his poem for Tori's daughter Tash and his next book. He just got his first preprint copy of the book (it was in book fold form) complete with illustrations by Charles Vess, who did the illustrations for Stardust. Neil told us that Tori called him a couple months before Tash was born and asked him to write a prayer for her - which is how the poem came about. His webpage talked about proceeds from the book going to RAINN at http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2007/07/blueberry-girls.html over a year ago, he did not mention tonight if this was still the plan or when the actual release date is. His readings of his latest book have been filmed so far for web broadcast, but since the poem wasn't part of that I don't know if it was recorded too. Who knows, it might end up on his blog at some point soon. ~Alex ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V12 #143 **************************************
