Or it could all be included on one DVD, she didn't specify. Also, someone I know from a Tori forum talked to Mark after the last NYC show and was told that there will be a Best Of CD for the entire tour. All hearsay, but seems reasonable enough. I only heard there are sound recordings to be made available. I think there's some confusion, here. Anyone paying close attention who can clarify? Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. Siren from the Strange Little Tour took on a whole new life. Personally, I prefer it from this era. I know what you mean about Merman. I really love this little guy. I was lucky enough to hear it at the Grand Prairie, TX show in 2005. And believe me, I was shocked to hear it. Good luck to you for the rest of your shows, Tom. Hopefully you'll get a few songs that have special meaning to you. Tom xxxxx wrote: Most changed: I'll also add "Siren" (2001) to that. To hear that song stripped down to just the piano was amazing. I'm still waiting to hear "Merman" live, and I look wistfully at any set list that includes it. Peace Out, Amanda "You and me will all go down in History. As the set progressed it was apparent that the songs she chose were ones that had been safely performed the previous few nights, and these versions were very contained, no exploring the melody or stretching at the edges. Tori and band have got many songs down pat, and her face went blank at times. During the extended song openings she sometimes closed her eyes, tilted her head back, smiled and looked quite delirious, and then the song would begin and she'd go into rote. Why can't she record everything... A showering of gratitude upon you bootleggers, once again. She said (to Philly crowd) that she decided not to record NYC because 'they get everything' (and Philly cheered). Well, yey! I preferred the two NYC shows. > From: e m > Subject: Re: [pt] A very odd Santa > > The show was recorded audio only. no video or cameras. she was just being goofy. > I think the only shows to be video taped will be out west in southern california. I think she mentioned video taping in calif at a meet and greet. The drinks-pouring dance will sound a bit boring on the recording! Glad she was unconcerned, at that stage anyway. Hope you get to another concert... > From: Tom xxxxx > I do get set list envy, too. "Scarlet's Walk" is in > my top 5 songs I want to hear live list; Yep, agree in theory and can talk myself into enjoying a song I didn't need to hear again ('just listen, you idiot', my internal dialog said), but still, waaaah wanna hear 'Scarlet's walk', waaaaah wanna hear 'Etienne'. Waaaah went to three concerts and only saw two dolls. That'd be terrible, trying to pick which city would have which persona, flying out and of course getting it wrong :) K. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Oct 2007 17:49:06 +0000 From: Tom xxxxx Subject: [pt] RE: precious-things-digest V12 #90 Hi everyone, It surprises me that people think that Tori wasn't really "on" at the Philly show. I enjoyed it very much. While I liked the set list at the 2nd NYC show more, I thought her performance at Philly was more energetic. "Sugar," "Spark," and "Code Red" all seemed to be more intense than in NYC. I also felt more of a distinction between Santa and Tori at this show than in NYC. I did think "Leather" was a bit stale, but the sublime versions of "Cloud on My Tongue" and "Liquid Diamonds" more than made up for that. Was there a problem with the bass? On "1,000 Oceans" and "Pancake" it seemed overbearingly loud. Cheers, Tom M.
