Thanks for the link woj - interesting stuff. I've been wondering precisely what's meant by "remix" on the track listing, and if the new version of Playboy Mommy (which can be found here: http://myspace.com/toriamos ) is anything to go by... [umm spoiler space I guess - I'm about to generally describe the nature of the remixing that's been done on the clips I've just heard, so dont read on if you want it to be a surprise when you listen yourself] ..I'm reminded of how Tori said at the time of TOAL that she only allowed minor tweaks to the originals in order to better present how they were intended to sound when they were first mastered. It looks like that's what we're getting for all the tracks NOT listed as remixes, whereas, in the case of Playboy, it's carte blanche to do whatever seems right now, from the original recordings. There's a more noticeable shift in mood and style because of the adjustment of the levels, and use of a different take on the guitar etc. So I'm now more excited about getting to hear the new mixes (especially Mother), but also a little hesitant about how I'll end up feeling about having, for example, 3 different "official" versions of a song like Playboy released in 8 years. It's getting a bit "Star Wars". Well OK not quite, but my chunky 20Gb MP3 player is starting to feel inadequate already, the poor little guy.
