Thank you to all for your interesting views and news about Tori Amos. I may be joining "Another Lost Tori Amos Fan Club". What should have been an enjoyable year for me was not. Two out of the last 3 Tori concerts, I left in a sad mood. Was Tori in a somber mood? The set lists were weird, not many of my favorite songs. One of the shows the Hammond was distorting and it jusy ruined the night especially since I was only 5 rows back center. While it's nice to see Tori alone the guys are missed. It seems disloyal to have left them out on the second half. I don't really care for the covers and one concert she did three. Why would I want to see her live playing other people's songs? I don't particularly like the Hammond. Some songs it doesn't seem like the vocals are even going with the organ (Need drums and bass?). This is the first album that has songs I can not listen to (witness, sweet the sting, hoochie). In my opinion it is her worst. Was this album mediocre because she was doing the book at the same time? Did she spend too much time messing with the Hammond Organ? I know being a mom must take alot of her energy. I used to like when Tori paused between lyrics. Now she does it so often, it gets annoying. Tori is definitely more restrained. She told a story how Tash cut in front of Trump at the Towers. They were staying in NYC while doing the CT and NJ shows. It almost seemed like bragging and just too many cute Tash stories. Maybe Tori has become too much of a feminist for me. It's almost like she wants women including herself to be on a higher level. She didn't really mention the fans in the book and it makes me feel low. Did I miss something with the bootlegs? I bought the first 2 sets and was waiting for the 6th to buy those as a set. I ended up paying for all of them and never got the Box. WTF? I don't know. There have been alot of great times with Tori and her music, but also some heartaches. Maybe it's time to say goodbye. I know this all sounds negative bt any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Take care, LOU Tired of spam? Yahoo!
