To answer someone's question, yes the Cleveland upgrades were sent out two days ago. Quonset Hut was a well known cd/music store here in the Cleveland/Akron area for quite some time. Sometime last year they closed their doors. I am great friends to both ex-managers, Karen/Gilly and Eric/Weird. Yes, they are Bowie fans, and authors of one of the fine Bowie fanzines. Karen acquired quite a few 'artifacts' during the years that the store was open. She has put one of her prize possessions up for sale. She has asked me to assist her, as I have the ebay account. I use to sell on RDT in the early years, I was able to get a hold of multiple copies of those early singles, and make them available to the Tori fans with no extra cost. Here is Karen's post to me this morning regarding the signed/framed poster. So - (sorry) it's the end of August and I'm just now sending you the details of the framed Tori Art w/ hopes a fan in town next week might be interested. Here it tis ~ if you know anyone at all that might be a buyer - I'm asking $200.00 (firm) for this beauty. Heck, that's a steal, I think. You remember it? It's niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice and if they're local (or plan on coming to town for the show) - I'll do my best to deliver it by hand. OK - here are the stats: 24x32 in size - $200.00 - Framed Autographed Tori Amos Poster Professional frame, matted, wired. Frame is a brushed steel with a glass front. Poster is: UNDER THE PINK promo print Autographed during her visit to Cleveland on the UNDER THE PINK tour Excellent shape. No marks or scratches. Autograph reads: Quonset Hut - Hi Guy ettes, Love Tori Amos Pictures of this item to follow. Thanks a million Jon - I appreciate your help/insight on this. Cheerio ~ Karen/Gilly I can send anyone a pic if they are interested. email me at hockeyhaves@gmail.com haves (aka jon) (also my ebay user ID...look 100% feedback) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2005 10:51:57 -0300 From: "Laura D'Amico" Subject: Re: Cool on Bawlmer's island Excellent post Richard! Thanks so much. Top 12 show on your list... I wonder if the "falling" Tori concert (Ithaca, 1998) is still up on that list... or at least on the "most fun" list. >If it's anything you think might bring about rewards great enough to have made it worth the >effort and expense, here is someone who also believes this to be true. I also believe it and encourage anyone that might have doubts to do it. Back in '98 I could go on what I thought would be a couple or maybe 3 concerts... and ended up traveling in the Nova, with Linda and Richard for 10 concerts in a row. I would never ever trade that month of my life for anything... The only bad part is that after that you want to be there every tour and if you can't do it it sucks !! Neing concert deprived since Alanis decided to lay foot on this ground in 1999.. I am hoping that the rumours that Pearl Jam is coming to South America.. and to Argentina which is a cheap ticket away.... I am getting my hopes up.
