(last night in hartford, it happened DURING the final song of the main set, which was distracting to both the audience and the performer.) they wanted to spread the word to WAIT UNTIL THE MAIN SET IS OVER TO DO THIS. true to form, mikewhy already has something on the dent about this, so this is not just me spouting off. ;) please take a look and take note... A word about rushing the stage at Tori shows Updated Sun, Apr 10, 2005 - 11:07pm ET As has been the case over the last few tours, people are sitting during most of Tori's live show, and then they are standing during the two encores and some are "rushing the stage" for the encores. While Tori's people do not stop people from coming forward, people are starting to "rush the stage" way too soon during the show. Tori's crew and management would like to request that if you are going to do this, you must wait until the performance of The Beekeeper is completely finished and Tori has stood up. Only then is it okay to stand and move forward. Those doing so should proceed carefully and in a civilized manner, and should not crush or run over people to get up front. It is important for people to follow these rules at the shows. Thank you. woj ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2005 10:36:05 -0700 (PDT) From: e m Subject: Re: rushing the stage it happened DURING the final song of the main set in NYC, too. it is quite rude to tori and the other fans there and i hope people start getting that. i was flabbergasted to see it happen Friday night. I was in the second balcony and it look like ants swarming to a picnic from up there. Really people, you can see better when you're not all piled on top of one another and it sounds better back by the soundboard. I don't get the point of rushing the stage at a Tori Amos concert, especially the solo tour. but that is just me. - -e ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2005 12:46:27 -0400 From: myth@theultramind.com Subject: Re: rushing the stage I wish they wouldn't allow it at all, and quite frankly I can't believe that they do. It's potentially dangerous, but beyond that it's *extremely* rude and disruptive to the people who are legitimately up front because that's where their ticket is. I feel sorry for the people who won the upgrade contest, only to be trampled on by the stage- rushers. I've seen them in action, and they have no consideration for anyone that they think they can push out of their way. You'll be on the receiving end of my sharp elbow if I'm up there and you try to push your way in front of me. I kept a 250lb jock asshole from jumping in front of me at a Radiohead concert, you bet I can keep the 120lb faeries off. J. Usually the message is heard loud and clear, making the shows fun for all. They should be doing the same somehow at Tori shows. It's amazing how many of her fans don't even bother to visit The Dent, let alone subscribe to these lists, to keep up with any news and--yes--rules. How would you or anyone else like it if Tori quit touring because of imbicile concert attendees who just don't have any common-sense courtesy at all? ;-/ My 2-cents, Lorna - -- Lorna One of these days I'll re-download at least my Yahoo IM. ;-D Stay tuned... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2005 17:46:08 EDT From: TORIBREE@aol.com Subject: BOSTON TICKETS Hi everyone, I have 2 (extra) seats for tomorrow night that I purchased on ebay that I haven't been able to resell there, so I figured I'd try here and see if anyone is interested. I'm still going to the show, after I purchased these tickets, I splurged and bought 2 more for second row, a whopping $800!!!!! I know, I'm crazy, but Tori is worth it to me! Anyhow, these tickets are "REAL 9TH ROW, SEC. ORCH, ROW PP, SEATS 2-4" I paid $314 for them on ebay, and am just trying to break even. I am going still going to the concert with the other tickets I had mentioned, so I can set something up where we can meet before the show so I could sell you the tickets. I really don't want these tickets to go to waste. I tried hard as hell, as I'm sure many of you did also, to get tickets through ticket master, but with no luck, so I was forced to purchase these extremely overpriced tickets on ebay... I really want to break even, but will accept a reasonable offer as the show is tomorrow, and time is running out. If interested, please feel free to contact me directly at _Toribree@aol.com_ (mailto:Toribree@aol.com) .
