For what it's worth, they're not calling it a 'limited edition', but a 'special packaging edition'. To me, that name implies that they've made a lot of them, so the chances of it increasing in value are next to zero. You can still find new copies of the SW limited edition, so it doesn't seem very limited at all. That said, if you're going to have to pay a lot of money for it, I vote against it. I don't think that the special packaging is all that special. The DVD is nice enough, but I think that it only stands up to one watching. I can't imagine watching it several times. ,'Garlands' is pretty, but I'm not going to pop the DVD in for just one song (and I've already ripped an MP3 so I can listen to it on my iPod). It's not that I have particular complaints about it, but if you're going to have to spend heaps of extra money, I don't think it's worth it. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 05 Mar 2005 12:18:50 -0500 From: Jeffrey Clark Subject: Unbelievable. The DC show sold out in 4 minutes. Of course, I had the tickets, but I threw them back because, not knowing the first thing about seating, I thought they were crappy ones. I'm an idiot. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Mar 2005 12:37:27 EST From: OriginalSin24@aol.com Subject: annoyed I pulled up center stage row DD for DC today and I was flipping out that I got 4th row and jumped out of my chair kicking my computer which casued the power cord to fall out and I lost! Well I am guessing the DC presale was also a mess.. just from what i experienced from it... However.. this time I decided to also try and call Ticketmaster on the phone.. I called the 800 number at 11:58. and they told me to hold for the 2 minutes and then the lady came back on and sold me my tickets.. Row N in the orchestra.. I am not complaining because I am in the building.. she said that's the best they had.. but still at 1:15 I cannot get through on the web page.. so here is some advice to everyone trying to get tickets.. call this number.. 1-800-551-7328 its the toll free number, you'll get though.. and hopefully get tickets.. at least this way you will speak with a live person.. good luck.. anne ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2005 15:48:10 EST From: ALaro22912@aol.com Subject: Re: Unbelievable. With the solo shows being at such small venues.. you can't be picky with the seats you get.. you take whatever is given to you.. trust me, i called ticketmaster at 11:58 and waited on the phone with the women til 12, and I got Row N, I asked if there was anything better the woman said no and that they already had sold to row T since she pulled the tickets for me.. she said they are going remarkably fast.. so of course.. i take what i can get... sorry to hear about your mishap.. better luck with the next tour in the summer.. of course, you can try every day.. i pulled tickets to a so called "Sold out" show the other day.. so there is hope.. anne ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2005 15:58:19 EST From: ALaro22912@aol.com Subject: Re: Unbelievable. Well to tell you all.. I just got off the phone with Ticketmaster 1-800-551-7328 They do have scattered seating still available for the DC show.. I was tempted to buy a few seats, even though they wouldn't be together, and offer them up on the list at face value.. but being a teacher, and underpaid of course.. haha .. I couldn't afford to take the tiniest risk that they might have a home found for them.. so I thought instead i would tell you all to call Ticketmaster.. if you are desperate for seats, they still have a few scattered, so that means you wouldn't be able to sit next to your friend if you took one, but at least you'd be in the door.. hope this information helps someone.. anne ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2005 16:19:55 -0500 (EST) From: Cassandra Subject: Re: Unbelievable. Anne told us: > Well to tell you all.. I just got off the phone with Ticketmaster > 1-800-551-7328 > They do have scattered seating still available for the DC show.. I've posted repeatedly to tell people to keep trying back. I guess some people just need to be led around by the hand, and I refuse to do that because I want to treat people with the same intelligence that *I* want to be treated as having. Maybe you're more generous than I am, Anne. I'm Cassandra. Have been for many years. I may change my "name as it appears" to Cassandra. People don't listen to me, and then later they come to me to tell *me* as if it was their new discovery what I'd already told them until I was blue in the face while they were dismissing me. Peh. Not that I'm bitter.
