I managed to get my hands on a pre-release copy of The Beekeeper, and I can't even express my thoughts about it in a way to give it enough justice. That said, this album is absolutely *gorgeous*. It's by far the most enjoyable album I've heard since Choirgirl, and I've been listening to it constantly since I got it on friday evening or so. The style of most of the songs kinda reminds me of Under the Pink, where there were some quieter tracks (ie Pretty Good Year, Icicle), but the accoustics are definitely more "modern", the sound being as powerful as it is on Scarlet's Walk. All of the tracks are absolutely wonderful. As I've mentioned on this list before, I wasn't really too impressed with Venus, and while Scarlet really grew on me, I found Girls unlistenable. Beekeeper however is just.. Wow.
